Yes, well, there is much more on offer down Smugglers Lane in Holcomb than one might think, beside a lovely clean Beach and sea with most tall trees affording shelter from the very hot sun, there is a Salty Dog Kiosk where one can take a well earned hot or cold drink plus there is a selection of hot and cold snacks on the menu; not satisfied with that, if you dog is Hungry, there are snacks for them as well; a real South Devon GEM

Great food and a top place to stop when doing the costal walk - best bacon, sausage & egg bap in the area.

What a gem of a find. It requires some effort to walk here along the SW Coastpath from Teignmouth or taking a chance there'll be somewhere to park on Smugglers Lane that leads off the main road to the secretly and strategically placed venue. Hidden away at the base of the cliff set back from the train line is a kiosk offering a really friendly and warm welcome. Together with a beach bucket library (borrow and return) and other quite wonderful ideas for visitors, there were tables to sit at, under cover or outside and plenty of space to rest a while whilst bacon and egg rolls were prepared. A choice of white or granary rolls was offered by a lovely polite and patient young lady at the window, who after taking our order offered us a free home made cake to go with each hot drink. Now when was the last time that happened to you? The drinks were hot (and a again when was the last time you had to wait 5-6 minutes before you could drink it?) and wonderfully served and complimented the free rock cakes /date slice/fruit scone. Rolls were fresh, contents cooked to perfection, friendly, engaging staff and a really pleasant atmosphere on what was a rain swept and windy morning. If you want somewhere out of the way, but offers a helpful and great service for rolls, baguettes etc, I cannot recommend this place highly enough based on my visit today. I'll be back there, I have no doubt at all.

Nice little spot for a cafe, bit unusual. Down Smugglers lane, rear of what looks like a builders yard, alongside the railway. With bridge arches to access the beach. But it works A very friendly lady served us. My friend had a very nice cup of coffee with a piece of cake. I had a very nice ice-cream. We picked a quiet time. There are generally people sat drinking coffee.

Nice little walk along the sea well, coffee ☕ and a lovely homemade date slice at the Salty Dog before walking back, just a perfect stroll.

Lovely little rest bite. We had bacon cranberry and brie panninis from the special board.. Was absolutely delicious and good sized portion. The staff are lovely, chatty and very smiley, couple of tables to sit at or you can take your food to the beach. We will be back. ❤️❤️

Halfway along an easterly walk from Teignmouth seafront to Dawlish (or in my case, a circular walk back to Teignmouth) this kiosk hides on the other side of the tunnel under the railway, at the foot of a 'smuggler's lane'. The perfect place to catch your breath before climbing up to the main road. Coffee comes with a free cake!

Great little place to pick up a drink or snack after a walk along the beach. Gold prices and some good choices of food and drink.

What a surprise, at the end of the first half of a most pleasant beach walk from Teignmouth, a secret coffee stop and more. Served through the tiniest hatch in what in truth is a converted shipping container, this is a gem. The excellent lady behind counter answered the many and curious questions of our way over excited party. (The "please don't lean on the counter" warning totally ignored by us....sorry salty dog). Delicious range of coffees hot and iced. And yes, the unannounced complimentary cake led to way too much debate. I can confirm the homemade date infused flapjack was utterly yum! Well guys you were the highlight of our day. Thankyou. If only we had been sensible enough to have stayed for lunch..,.

Great little cafe just off the beach, reasonably priced food and drink. Brilliant dog menu including icecream and puppachino. No mains water or toilet facilities. Only downside
