Anybody who’s a fan of musical theatre should go here. The atmosphere is great and all the musical theatre songs surely add to this. Although there was no live performance when I was there, visiting the cafe felt like a true cultural experience. Staff is very friendly, the drinks and food were nice and we loved the musical-themed names on the menu. Defying Gravi-Tea! :)
I LOVE this place! The atmosphere the vibe the people THE NACHOS. Just such a great addition to Londons theatre world. Drinks and smoothies, cocktails. Fab toilets downstairs, lots of photo opportunities to be had. We came down to see The Choir of man make a visit. My favourite musical. You can request to sing on the stage if you’re feeling brave. Well done Theatrecafe I love you!
After couple of drinks, need a coffee. So here I am. As always great place for a coffee, cakes. A place you can catch up with friends and get together. Nice West End music tracks, lovely atmosphere and good service and cool decor eat main door.
Musical themed cafe, what I love about this place is that it's open till late, the staff are great, it offers a range of drinks including alcohol, milkshakes, tea and coffee, cakes, hot snacks and food, all at competitive prices. Additionally they play music and songs all from your favourite West End musicals, but not to loud, so it's perfect when you want a place to sit and catch up with friends. If you are in mood to do some karaoke you can also ask staff to play songs from musicals and then get up on the stage they can and sing till your heart's content! It really is a hidden gem, highly recommended!
Liked all the photos and music. Pizza was nice and filling. Very reasonable prices for London. We just didn't get anyone singing but I suppose it's luck of the draw.
Randomly came across this place and wish I'd found it a lot sooner so I didn't have to endure McDonalds at Charing Cross. Perfect and quiet (it was when I visited) little place for a pre show lunch.
A good experience while waiting for a show. The whole decor, and the accompanying music, is based on London shows. They also try to have menu items titled to connect... doesn't always work! We didn’t have the hot snack food they had available, but cakes looked good, and ours were, alongside range of teas, coffees, milkshakes etc. Service was friendly and efficient.
I was a bit confused about displays, because I did not know if the waiters and waitresses are singing. The whole place is decorated with all the musicals, so it is definitely a place to be for all the musical lovers. The menu is funnily named after all the musicals, and they also have some cakes or sandwiches. The prices are not over priced. I went on a Sunday around 5 o’clock and they opened open mics around 5:30 PM. That means if you would ask them, they can give you a playback of a song and you can sing on stage. I am not sure why there is a piano, but maybe there is some event where there is a pianist as well. I will definitely check it out if you are a musical lover.
My whole experience was incredible. The workers there really nice and made the food and drinks relatively fast. The whole time we were there, different musical songs were running through the speakers. I would most defiently recommend going here if you like musicals.
Found in St Martins Lane, the heart of Londons theatre land. It is a cafe, with a theatre theme. The menu has theatre based names such as "My fair Latte" & "Phantom of the Mocca" pricing is competitive compared to similar venues in Central London.
There is a stage with guest singers & open Mike at various times.
A great stop off on a day out to Central London.
