The White Swan recently catered my mother's funeral wake and the attention we received couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and reassuring. The food was very nice and plentiful, the room they gave us was cosy and the hosts service was tactful but attentive.

Lovely little inn, the owners were very friendly and kind. The room was great! Very spacious and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom. Would 100% stay here again in the future.
The food in the pub below was to die for. Home cooked and served nicely. Prices definitely reflect quality (and cheaper than).

We came here for Christmas day dinner. The staff were lovely and so was the food. It was very good value for money and the dinner was huge. We are so stuffed 😊

Just had a lovely day & night's stay here, we were going to a wedding at the Parsonage up the road from here, The hosts were lovely & welcoming, Dave will do anything for you, such a nice man, would recommend highly! Thank you from Michelle & Daz

Clean tidy with a comfy bed. Room and bathoom were quite small.
Very happy, just need to do food after 7pm, had to drive 4 miles to get .

Clean, comfortable, well appointed rooms at a fantastic price. The food and drinks were brilliant and very reasonably priced too. Dave is a brilliant host and I can't rate highly enough!

Lovely little pub, a nice selection of alcohol and Dave and Ann who manage it are fab too. Quiz on a Thursday and others specials throughout the week. Recently has got a new menu which looks lovely. A must stop if your on your way to York. You won't be disappointed.

Great place to stay for a visit to York, local bus runs every 20 minutes from outside so no need to drive into York. The food is really nice and very reasonable priced so would recommend eating there. The staff are lovely a very helpful. The bar area is clean and in good decoration. The bedrooms are clean and adequately spacious. The only downside is the bedrooms could do with a quick lick of paint.
Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book to stay there again
