Visited this lovely pub on a Sunday afternoon and was thoroughly impressed on the experience.
From an extremely warm welcome from Jamie who was an absolute delight throughout our experience of this lovely pub, making sure we were content the whole time.
The food and drinks were fair priced, as you can see from the photos the food was as delicious as it looked.
Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice friendly pub grub.
Great all round and dog friendly. Amazing food, had the Sunday roast great portion and quality.
The Union Inn in Denbury is a charming pub that we stopped at for lunch while cycling in the area. It's located on the village green and seems a popular spot with locals and visitors alike. They have plenty of outside seating with a marquee, and cosy indoor areas.
The menu is a simple affair, which is seasonal, and offered the typical pub food including burgers, fish and chips, pizzas as well as beers, wine and soft drinks.
Had a pot of tea first then I opted for the ploughman's cheese plate with salad and chocolate cheesecake for afters which went down very well.
The pub is well fitted out with plenty of wood, fireplace and there are some interesting prints on the walls. The service was good and even though it was a Saturday lunchtime they managed to find us a table straight away. There was a bit of a wait with serving as they got busy with the unexpected arrival of a large group.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for proper country pub food with friendly service! Dogs are welcome too.
Lovely place to stop and eat on the green with tasty home made food. Ploughman's lunch is amazingly good!
Great selection of beers and drinks.
After a long walk, a great pub to find 😊 Craft ales and an open fire 🔥😊
Good food menu also; steaks, burgers and Home made pies and including Rabbit Stew in the menu.
I had the worlds best steak today, well done and succulently tender.
Waitresses were very nice and helpful and let me in 4 mins early as it was pouring hard and I didn’t have a coat. Much appreciated.
Great pub, great staff, homemade tasty food. Dog friendly
Very friendly and helpful staff. Delighted they have ale, everywhere else I've been is IPA, lager and Guinness. A welcome change. A nice old pub feeling to this well decorated building. The beer was good, can't comment on the food yet but plan to eat there tonight and will update this review.
Update - Now having eaten here, the food was good, although potions slightly on the small size. The chilli was lacking a chilli flavour. I think value for money isn't the best or worst. The main negative was using a small cutting board as a plate, not very practical.
Personally, I am happy to drink here but not eat.
Been a local pub all my life after going school and growing up hear by. Lovely food, great company and nice to sit on the green in the summer
Arrived late afternoon, staff very accommodating, served lunch even though they had finished service, food was lovely and plenty of it, Lovely lager and local ale , definitely recommend
Lovely outdoor seating. Polite COVID advisory. Good table service. Hard to fault
