I've been visiting Brown's Restaurant since it opened, taking many of our family and friends over the years. It has been my absolute favourite place. The standard and quality of the food and service has been outstanding. My favourite has to be the Sunday roast. The Valentine's evening was exceptional. Lunch on. After pandemic travel delays and previous two years of unsuccessful attempts to get a reservation. On a recent visit to our home town we had a traditional Sunday Dinner with family at Browns. The facility, staff and food were all first class, well worth the wait and flight from Canada!

A delightful family restaurant in an unexpected location in the Derby suburbs.
Very comfortable, with friendly service and nicely cooked, well presented food.
The traditional Sunday Roast is excellent, and there are two/three course priced menus.
The wine list is very good, with some niche wines at great value prices.
Booking essential.

Food good and well looked after by Gemma. However, not a suitable restaurant for people with mobility problems due to steep stairs inside. Several people were concerned about them and two friends could not join us as there was no lift.

My friend booked this as a belated birthday gift for Sunday lunch. Great atmosphere, interior and super cosy for Sunday lunch. The staff and the manager provided an excellent friendly service ensuring all our needs were met. I will definitely be going back. My friend came from Liverpool and said it was well worth it 😊. The food was absolutely delicious, great portion sizes and excellent value for money. Thank you to everyone at Browns keep up the excellent work.

Food was very good apart from the roast potatoes which were OK but fairly taste less. Beef was lovely. Surprisingly today service was very slow especially our starters and no one brought a wine list until we asked. All in all though the staff are lovely and we'll go again!

Absolutely STUFFED !!! What a great find. Lovely small and relaxed restaurant with a great atmosphere, great food with a very personal service. Small and intimate location. Will definitely go back soon. Try it ☺I'm sure you won't be disappointed. We had the Venison...superb and cooked to perfection.

Hidden diamond off a restaurant.Wouldn't expect it from small entrance which opens up to a free car park and tidy smart building. Inside nicely deco but more important the food was excellent,staff and owner were helpful nice and pleasant.Had Sunday lunch roast beef and vegetables was cooked just right not over or under done. Highly recommended.
