I decided to try this place due to driving past it a thousand times, I have to say it was packed which was shocking considering I see it pretty much empty. The milkshakes are absolutely amazing 😍 On to the food, so this is where I was pretty much disappointed, we went for the classic American pancakes 🥞, but they weren't, they tasted like they were out of a packet and then warmed up using a microwave, then the burger, I asked for the 10oz belly buster that was on a poster in the place , but I was informed that it's not something that do, although it does say 'why not try out 10oz burger' the burger I did order was called 'all the way' and it looked delicious, but the burger just didn't taste fresh and it tasted like one of those prepacked frozen burgers, the chips where sort of warm, I was expecting a little bit better quality than what was served. On the positive side the servers were very nice and polite, I have had worse so I would definitely recommend you trying it for yourself.

Fantastic little place, just off the A38 near a services with plenty of parking and facilities for the disabled. Very friendly, courteous staff, kids welcome. Avoid busy times or be ready for a wait!!!! That's the only thing I can say about that. The food is freshly made but buyer beware of the hot dogs, they are nothing like the menu shows just a basic hot dog with sqirty cheese 🧀 which is vile, they come with a healthy serving of fries. We had an all day breakfast but it's a basic one. The milkshake are literally to die for and are made the American way. Free coffee refills after your first coffee order. Very clean. The benches are a little too far from the table, which hurt my back not being able to sit properly and having to bend to eat. Overall it's a bit pricey but it's a good time out and would go again. Take out is available on some dishes.

Such a beautiful little place to eat. Makes you feel like an American diner. Pictures on the wall are so American. Clean and neat. Can get busy and you have to wait but in the UK it seems normal. Loved it. Just missing the jukebox with music. Kids under 10 eat free and it consists of a meal, juice, and dessert, so will be worth it.
It’s been a while since my last visit to an OK Diner, it didn’t fall short, as we had eaten a large breakfast earlier we opted for just a cuppa and a desert, a really really great choice too, good service despite the staff having issues with technical problems with ordering system playing up, the milky coffee wasn’t on offer either due to issues with machinery adding to that them being quite busy too. I’ll be back soon I hope. Oh yeah the tea… a great cuppa.
The pancake short stack was delicious!! Almost wish I'd gone for the full 8 pancakes instead! Mia who served us was excellent, and always served with a smile. Atmosphere was a little on the quiet side, but little to dampen our holiday mood en route to the Peak District.
We've driven past so many times wanting to try here and finally made it. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and create a lovely atmosphere. We had grilled chicken burgers,fries and milkshakes which were very nice and even got our child's meal free. Will have to get pictures on our next visit because we will definitely be returning.
Stopped here for a quick breakfast definitely worth it lovely fry up and pancakes. Gets busy quiet quickly we were seated straight away. Friendly staff and kids eat free. Definitely going to visit again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at OK Diner. The lady who served us was very upfront about delays to service but the food was not delayed at all. It arrived freshly cooked and was delicious! Would not change a thing about our first visit and will be returning in the future.
Recommend the milkshakes. They are incredible!
Great service and an acceptable range of vegan dishes. However the microwaved jacket potato and lack of vegan spread was somewhat disappointing. Please also consider adding something like a Beyond Burger with Vegan Cheese to the menu.
