I love Thorntons for a bit of a treat. Spend £10, which isn't hard, and get a bag of chocs free. No cafe open at present though.

Very popular with all ages, meals and drinks are good and not expensive, great place to stop off in between the shopping. They will decorate goods freely when you buy from their excellent stock. They also operate a loyalty card, get stamped every time you visit, if two of you visit the card will be stamped twice, not once like some shops.

Expecting it to be a bit of a gimmick, but it was comfortable, clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Food was very good... I feel fatter after the salted caramel milkshake, but it's worth having a heart attack for... Delicious!

Recently refurbished in 2017 Thorntons chocolate shop at front leading into the coffee shop at the rear of the store. Table service provided with menu to choose from. Lovely cafe mocha i had and chocolates given when you are seated to every table. Artisan style with a touch of modern and an historic twist with old pictures of the company's past. Great for a stop in intu derby from shopping.

Not recommend, what is going on? Me and my partner decided to pop in for a bit of dessert and absolutely ZERO on the sweet/pudding menu is vegetarian- so he couldn’t join me with something to eat. On top of that they did not have any Diet Coke so he didn’t have a drink either. No apology from the lad serving us, Jake. The place looks nice inside and out but how can your front of shop chocolate be vegetarian and then your cafe be all non-vegetarian. We weren’t offered an alternate dessert so why bother coming back? Instead we went to Hotel Chocolat. In this day and age having vegetarian options is basic, how and why have such an old company missed this?
