Always busy with customers. So expect a wait... but defo worth it. The Normanton unit is the only proper fish and chip shop in the area. Real english curry sauce. I always order cheeseburger and chips with curry sauce and always more than satisfied!
Sadlers fish and chips what can I say Derbys first premier halal fish and chip shop catering for the local Muslim community. Food has always been very nice, i had a shish kebab after such a long time and it was the best I have had in a very long time. I cannot fault the food or the service and the staff are a great bunch and the owner is a very nice person. I have been a customer since Saddlers opened many years ago and I will continue to support local independent businesses within my community.
One of the best takeaways in derby
Went for fish and chips today, one with mushy peas and one with curry sauce. Parking was relatively easy to find on Normanton Rd. The staff welcome on entry was nice and genuine and the shop was very clean and tidy. All the food looked fresh and lovely and the decor is very nice and welcoming. The food was served with decent quality napkins and cutlery. The fish and chips were excellent, a nice sizeable portion with fresh fish, gorgeous chips and tasty curry sauce. This place is well worth a visit, will be back soon.
Great fish and chip shop they do great pizzas, their donner kebab is very good as is the shish. They do the best chips. Not the cheapest but it is completely worth it paying the few extra pence!
Food is amazing but the staff can be pretty grumpy don't look like they are happy to be their maybe their boss can offer them some incentives to make them a bit more happier

The store is usually busy in the evenings with about a 5-minute wait to be served.
There is not a proper queue inside so sometimes some people are served before others. Stool cushioned seats are available for waiting.
Brilliant food and fresh π
The go to place for Fish & Chips or any kind of Kebab the staff are attentive and courteous. They are always busy and do an excellent job. Just up the road from Yannis Desserts. Keep up the excellent work.

Good standard takeaway food. Don't expect gourmet burgers or specialist foreign cuisine, but if you want a good fish and chips, kebabs or pizzas, this is your place. They've been open forever and are always busy, they've seen off all sorts of competition over the years. Genuinely good munch. Shame it doesn't have seating.
