Sakura Valley Derby

A lovely new addition to the Derby food scene, delicious home style cooking and a good drinks selection. The menu is simple and well thought out, and everything we tasted was great. Competitively priced, we shared starters, then had mains and a drink for ~£16 per person. At the time of writing this review it is cash only, so go prepared. There is also a vacancy within, so I'd suggest letting the proprietor know when you arrive if you've a train to catch in the immediate future. Once those two minor inconveniences are ironed out (and that is all they are, minor inconveniences) I'd love to see this restaurant go from strength to strength.

Having only just opened, I was very excited to try out this cafe. as I'm quite a big fan of Japanese food. It was absolutely amazing. The beef donburi was so tender, edamame beans were perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. I'll also add to the other review praising the Goyza. I look forward to visiting again in the not too distant future!

First time in Derby and if Sakura Valley's food is reflective of the city, I'll be back very soon! Amazing food, the vegetable gyoza in particular were incredible. Salmon Teriyaki also a winner. Newly opened last Friday and once word gets around, this will be a real gem in the area. Thanks for a wonderful dinner, Anthony!
