Now known as Lemon and Rosemary cafe. Great place with extensive menu of light lunches or cakes. Welcoming staff. Friendly atmosphere. Will definitely return.

What a little gem this place is. Very friendly and a lovely atmosphere. The service was perfect and the food was spot on. Will definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes available. Thank you to all at the Mermaid Inn for such a pleasant evening meal.

WE went for Lunch. Received a friendly Welcome at the Bar. Our meal was served within 8 minutes, and when it arrived piping hot, the amount of food on the plate was most generous, and also very tasty. The cost was reasonable and in keeping with the whole enjoyable experience. Thoroughly recommended and will return.

We regularly visit the Mermaid with friends and family. We always find the food quality is excellent and the service is friendly and helpful. There is a wide range of food available with a good specials board. Everything is freshly cooked. The steaks are excellent quality and good value for money and cooked to your preference. Well done!

Lovely pub. Clean ale, clean crisp lagers and very friendly management. Garden's nice too. Could open an hour earlier during the week though in my opinion but don't know if there is the demand. Highly recommend.

The Strangers Club Ramble started and ended at this excellent pub. Tea and coffee to start (where all 16 of us ordered our lunch beforehand) on our return 2 tables of 8 were set.
The staff were friendly ( loved Tilly's blue hair) a happy atmosphere. Food was hot well presented and the pies to die for. 5 stars because we all agreed they made us welcome and nothing was to much trouble.... congratulations to Helen and her team

This pub is an excellent hidden gem! It's in a beautiful location with a very pretty garden. The food is simply delicious. It is unpretentious, well-cooked, tasty and well worth every single penny. The staff are delightful. It has a relaxed, warm atmosphere. I would highly recommend this pub. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent food with excellent Host's and Staff. If you like pie's check out the Pie board so much to choose from and all made on the premises. Great Ales from the Keg and all at a fair price. Dogs welcome in the Bar they even get a doggie treat some times

If you want to experience a real unspoilt country pub, you can't go far wrong with The Mermaid. My wife and I discovered it over a year ago and it has been our favourite place ever since. It's got friendly staff, a good selection of beers and excellent food.
Right across the road is a fine old church, and the whole area is steeped in history ready to explore. The Mermaid is a real gem.
