Lovely little, local café with dedicated vegan and gluten free menus. Vegan breakfasts, toasties, baguettes, pancakes, panini's, jackets, hotdogs and waffles. They have vegan cheese and even vegan options for mayonnaise and coleslaw as well as a range of homemade cakes, many of which are dairy free or vegan.
The owner is very helpful and can advise on accomodating dietary requirements.

Lovely little cafe. Good selection of delicious food prepared to order while you wait. I had a panini and it was served with a side salad, coleslaw and crisps. Very reasonably priced considering what you get. I am not normally a fan of dogs, but the little resident dog really doesn't cause any bother, especially if you make a fuss of her.

If you like tea (or coffee) and cake, you must try Penelope's. The cakes are really good and food is freshly prepared. Nice, cosy, comfortable and tranquil.
Really friendly staff and excellent service, made me feel like a regular on my first visit. Highly recommended.

A excellent cafe food prepared fresh on site a must when in dereham.

Good for food allergies, food is brilliant, service is great and although the place is very small they were more than happy to rearrange tables to get me in with my wheelchair. The only problem is the toilets are up steep stairs which the less able may find an issue.

Not a vegan cafe but has a REALLY great VEGAN menu! Plenty to chose from & very tasty too - vegan pancakes, sausage rolls, toasties, FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST, cakes and so much more. Lovely friendly service. A great find in Dereham as there is nowhere else that really offers much by the way of vegan food. I had a cheese and onion toastie which came with a generous portion of crisps & side salad & my daughter had the vegan pancakes. All delicious! Will definitely make this my regular place to go now!
