On The Corner Grill

It was a pleasant place and friendly staff. It was very busy on a Wednesday night at 6. We sat at the bar because we wouldn't have been able to get a table for an hour. That was fine for us. I got one if their specialties...Chicken O. I was very good and plenty of food for me. My date got the salmon specialty. He said it was good but the portion was on the smaller side.....even for me. Drinks were yummy! Overall...yes I would go back.

We have been here several times and it was great. We went Sunday night to celebrate a late Mother’s Day - it was not good at all. The waiter was great but the food was not. We ordered 2 appetizers- the stuffed mushrooms were dry. We ordered salads with beef and steak tips were over cooked. I asked for rare. The kids got a few different items - mussels- bowl of plain pasta along with a couple more items. The plain pasta was requested with nothing on it - it came with olive oil and each bowl was $9. I can understand that price if it had any kind of topping but plain pasta? I am not sure what went wrong but it was very disappointing-

Our first time for dine in, food was good, service very good. Overtly noisy with music louder than necessary, causing patrons to talk louder to be heard! Could barely hear my companions and I have excellent hearing! Low rating due to being told upon arrival that restaurant has a 90 minute seating. No mention of this when reservations were made! A Tuesday evening 5:30 pm… we managed to talk them into an additional 1/2 since no one was reserved behind us. Honestly we barely had time to eat and have a dessert-if we’d ordered an app or more than one drink forget about it! During the start of the pandemic some rules regarding length of time spent in restaurants was implemented by government, but that has been rescinded and it’s shameful that this has become the norm for some places. Dining out is still, for me, a special occasion and being told to chew and screw for $50 a person is inexcusable. I won’t return.

We have been going to On the Corner since this place opened and have been very happy with the food. As of lately I have found their customer service to go downhill and their management to be poor. A kids meal that is advertised online for $8.95 came out $15.00 on the bill, when questioned about it they not only had an attitude but stated that the chicken fingers were hand breaded and the fries were hand cut and that it was a large portion. I understand that prices have increased but to hide this fact and not be up front about this price increase and then not handle the situation properly was in poor taste. I hope this changes but next time for a family outing we will be going elsewhere.
