Brendan's Fish And Chips Spencer Rd

I was really shocked at the amount of grease on the food, I've never seen anything like it before. It was like it had been dipped into cool oil and then served up. The layers of wrapping and the bottom of the outer bag were saturated when we got home. We ended up with very soggy, wet fish and chips that stuck to the paper. Once we dried everything off in kitchen roll and popped them in the air fryer for 5 mins the food tasted good. I had a chicken fillet burger that wasn't greasy at all, it was really lovely. I just got a new car a few weeks ago so thankfully I set the food on the floor or I would've been annoyed getting all that grease on the seat. The staff seem very nice and the place looks clean and tidy. I would eat here again because the positives outweigh the negatives.

Was hunting about on a sunday morning online looking for the hangover cure The fry. We came across this wee hidden gem on Spencer road. A cracking new business with a great menu to suit everyone and the place is spotless and staff are 1st class. Travelling from Glengad after great Christmas & New year, heading for Belfast ferry. Had quick look for Chippy in Derry. So glad I chose you. My wife came out said there was going to be a hold up with chips. 20 minutes later I was tucking into lovely chips and amazingly large portion of beautiful fish. I would expect to wait 20 minutes for good food like this, so with "hold up" was exceptional. My wife loved the slogan on the staff's fleeces What did it say? Go pay them a visit and see! I'll be back in the Summer!
