Best restaurant in the world! Brilliant service and great friendly staff. A multi national team delivering top quality food and drink. A fine selection of top quality malts in a beautiful island setting. If your lucky you'll also experience live music from fine musicians. A must visit place!
Came here on the 24th September while on Mull for my sisters wedding I stumbled on this place in a tourist map of Mull and thought it would be fantastic for a meal the night after the wedding as we were staying in Calgary and it didn't let me down fantastic service friendly staff the food was so good words just doesn't do it any justice and the portion sizes were huge definitely come here again next time I'm on Mull 5 stars just isn't enough
Best food we have eaten in a long time, I loved the scallops and the ribeye. My boyfriend loved his soup and pork shoulder. We would recommend everyone to stop here for amazing food and great service.
We always visit here when we are on Mull and we are never let down. This visit was as good as ever. Great menu and wine list :-)
I had lunch on a recommendation and really enjoyed it. The first 2 pages of the menu listed the relationships they have with local farms, fishermen, etc... that was a food sign. I had cullen skink followed by langosteens, and both were amazing. The prices were reasonable for the quality, and it was quite a nice experience.
Attended this restaurant as a result of comments left in the guest book where we were staying. A lovely looking wooden building with large windows, inside spacious, well laid out, very clean, and nicely decorated. Staff very efficient, friendly and polite, the restaurant is proud to use locally sourced food, and it's delicious, there is nothing on that menu I wouldn't eat, and very well priced considering its situated in a remote location. If your on the island make time to have a meal here, it worth it, great experience.
Lovely lunch. Interesting log cabin design with plenty of big windows and natural light. Good selection of locally sourced produce prepared well.
Attended this restaurant only as a result of its reviews and they are not wrong - seriously yummy.
Front of house was professional, polite and efficient. Acoustics were good too - no issues with trying to talk across a table or with others being too close. Chairs comfy and tables clean.
Starters:
Tomato & roasted pepper soup - nicely thick and packed with flavour.
Haggis spring roll & beetroot/apple slaw - not heavy, but light and delicious.
Main course:
Battered haddock, salad & fries - the batter was incredible thin/light.
Hake fillet on cannellini beans, Chorizo & spinach - another well balanced dish.
Desert:
Sticky toffee pudding & sauce with vanilla ice cream (dish of the meal) - the sauce was plentiful & scrummy, sponge incredible light and ice cream perfect.
Key lime posset & shortbread biscuit.
Drinks:
1 victorian lemonade & 2 bottles of stout.
Service charge was not added and not asked for which was nice to see but we did leave a 10% tip which was easily deserved. Bill was £74.05
Overall this was an amazing, faultless and flavoursome meal.
Highly recommended
Very friendly staff and a good menu. The food was tasty and freshly prepared.
I was a bit put off because our table had crumbs and sugar from the previous customers, so obviously they had forgotten to wipe it. There were also crumbs on the window ledge next to me, so hoping that the kitchen had better hygiene standards.
Great food, good service and friendly staff
Wonderfully flavourful food. Extensive gluten-free menu. The food was amazingly tasty and cooked to perfection. The presentation of each dish was exceptional! Very highly recommend
