We turned up before 3pm on 11th December 2025 having checked the opening hours beforehand only to find the cafe was in the process of closing. We were offered takeaway cups but we had set our sights on tea and cake in a cosy cafe as we and …
Had drinks with our family here. Lovely cafe at the top of the Caen Hill locks in Devizes. Picnic tables to sit and look at the far reaching views over the countryside or watch the passing canal boats as they make their way up or down through the locks. Nice flat walk along the towpath into the town centre from here too.
Friendly and efficient cafe. Rapidly scooped out the three lovely double icecreams. Not very much cake left at the end of a Bank Holiday Monday but clearly generally a good selection. Seats out the front with a sunny view or in the nicely shaded garden. Very nice mugs for drinks with the cafe name.
