I've given this 5 stars for the way an issue with our order was dealt with, we basically got the wrong breakfast (veggie, not vegan). The staff were apologetic, and sorted things out quickly and efficiently.
For me the measure of a business isn't where everything runs smoothly, but when it doesn't, and how it is dealt with.
Oh, and the vegan brunch is well worth the money as well.

Good Mince Pies and It's great to get a double Espresso in a proper cup, instead of the enormous cups given in the big chain coffee shops. The coffee was tasty too

Lovely clean and tidy restaurant/cafe. The food selection is amazing and the prices are very good. I've never had poor service or food the dozens of times I've been here over the years. Definitely worth a visit and the staff are amazing.

Always nice to drop into Boswell's. Food is 'good honest grub' level. Excellent service and good cost. Gets busy at lunchtime so worth going in a little before or after for better experience.

We regularly get coffee and buns here...the staff are great,it is always warm ,the cafe is regularly cleaned including tables and loos,which nowadays is unusual!If you are lucky get the big sofa to the right of the door as you go in !Jim/Margaret Caversham

This place must be under new management as the food and service have improved tremendously. The cook looks like she enjoys cooking. The breakfasts are really tasty, and the eggs are no longer burnt. Mushroom used to be grey watery and tasteless, but now they are fresh light golden brown. The atmosphere is much better and all the tables are clean and tidy and the floor is regularly cleaned. I highly recommend this place for food.

As a regular visitor of Boswells cafe (I am there most days, as I work upstairs!) I couldn't recommend them enough. The staff are friendly, the food quality is great & the coffee's are amazing. I have never had any issues with service or food quality.

Lovely place!
The staff were very friendly and kind. The place was very well cleaned, including the bathroom, which is clearly checked regularly.
They have plenty of vegan drink options with coconut, soy and oat milk, and they're happy to do a vegan late.
They also have WiFi and outlets available. Perfect place for a student to come along and get some work done :)
