If you're looking for a nice satisfying Pizza when you're hungry, this is the place to go. The owner is a super nice guy, really friendly with tourist like us. We got the meat lovers pizza and it was perfect. Not too much of anything, nothing fancy, just the perfect balance. Give this really unique place a chance! It will be an experience by itself. Things to know: Takeout only and you need cash. Edit: They indeed to have debit, just a bug at this time with Roger.

Not many places to eat at around Hideaway Campground, this place had no reviews so we checked it out. The drive in was a little eerie, it was definitely a different vibe from the rest of Cape Breton. My boyfriend claims it was ‘David Lynch/Twin Peaks’ vibes, whatever that means. The man working at the diner was quite friendly, it seems like they do mostly take out. They have a functional jukebox which was fun to play music on. I got the fish and chips, not the greatest but it hit the spot. My boyfriend tried the Donair and it seemed like everyone else was getting that as well. I would recommend that since it is a Nova Scotia food to eat. We also got the garlic fingers which was a thoroughly carby snack for us. They still tasted good hours later with vodka when we were damp, cold and starved at the campground during what seemed like the apocalypse. I enjoyed the diner, definitely won’t forget the overall Dingwall vibe, the nice waiter and the jukebox! I’ve included some pictures I took in the area and the diner.

I feel terrible leaving this review, I really do, but this was probably the worst breakfast I've ever eaten. The hostess was sweet and very accommodating, a real joy to talk to. Her bubbly personality and kind nature is a treat. Unfortunately, my meal was awful. So much so that I didn't even want to mention it as I didn't have any faith that the cook could do better. My scrambled eggs were hard, flaky and chewy. The bacon was alright, but the price for what I got was very disappointing. $9 for two eggs and 5 pieces of bacon is a bit of a reach... Even more so when the quality is so poor. I really, really want to stress that the owner is simply lovely. I wish I could say I had a better experience, but I seriously doubt that their chef has much, if any experience in the restaurant industry. I'm

Was a nice restaurant coming in with a familiar 50s theme, where the highlight was the host/owner of the restaurant. Unfortunately the food could of been better, it was overpriced for the quality and portions. The burger was delicious although the poutine lacked good flavour, bad canned gravy taste and the fries were generic and small along with the cheap mozzarella cheese. Girlfriend had scrambled egg breakfast with bacon, she was not impressed.. described the eggs as chewy and dense while the bacon seemed deep fried. The price we paid did NOT reflect the quality and therefore we don't recommend this restaurant to others until this is taken care of. That delicious burger ended up giving me an upset stomach and trips to the bathroom later in the day so I'm curious to how the food is being handled as well.

Absolutely a great restaurant to experience for the theme. They had a working Juke box and the restaurant was appropriately decorated. The owners were very welcoming and sweet. However, the food was just ok.

We arrived close to closing time, but we still received friendly service and a good vegetarian burger and fries. We had a milkshake which was excellent too.

This was a good restaurant. The food was great and the lobster was incredibly fresh! There were not many reviews but enough to convince us to try. I wouldn't give 5 stars though for the following reasons: - the glasses and plates were not totally clean. That's fine for food but didn't like particles in my water. - the fries were cold - they didn't have the donair sauce and the other review got me really excited about this. - they should have told us how big the subs were!! Two people can easily share this along with some fries and a side. Still, dont let this discourage you too much--the food is still really really good!

I feel awfully saying this but please do not waste your money on the pizza and garlic fingers. It isn’t worth it. I’m sure there are other great options on the menu but unfortunately I just didn’t get it. Maybe the cook was having an off day. Ugh sorry...
