We often have a light lunch here on a Sunday. There's a good choice and it's usually tasty and hot. The plants always look healthy and well cared for, though maybe a bit more expensive than some other garden centres. There's also a big clothes and toys section as well as cookware and food. There is a kiddies play area outside.

Great garden centre. Has a huge lovely cafe and lots of outlet shops here including hotter shoes and Edinburgh woollen mill etc.

A very good restaurant, efficient in service and excellent basic food. This may be evidenced by the numbers of people visiting and eating in it.
Simple plain food well cooked and presented is the key here. The staff are exceptional, always cheerful, helpful and willing.
There is an indoor large seated area with an outdoor area for the better weather but watch out for the wasps. A medium sized children's gated play area is also available.
Prices are typical of garden centres, not more then any other in the area, cheaper then some!
Update August 2023 Service excellent. Food pretty good ! Very simple menu but it keeps it efficient yet satisfying. Cod and chips , Bacon loin, two eggs and chips plus a children's burger meal with two pots of tea. Cost around 35 pounds. All was perfectly good and the chips were first class. Wasps were a nuisance but you can always eat inside.

Just been here for a quick visit to get a drink and bite to eat. But we noticed a sign to the notcutts nature trail.
Curiosity took hold and found an entrance behind the sheds for sale that went into a field turned into a nature trail. It was very peaceful and we were the only ones in it apart from birds and insects. Loads of plants and bug houses, there were blackberry bushes apples trees and other fruit just planted for the wildlife.
It was so nice to see a garden centre putting land back to nature and not doing it for profit as they did not charge to go in. You can follow the path around and enjoy the peace. Over the far side there is a bird feeding center and a wooden bench to sit and watch. Unfortunately the feeders were empty this time, hopefully next time we will be luck to catch them with feed in and we will see some native birds.
Well done notcutts hopefully other garden centres will follow your lead.

Very spacious a good selection of pots at reasonable prices, and a great deal to see garden wise, food wise, toys and fancy goods.
We had lunch in the restaurant and it was very enjoyable.
Will definitely visit again.

This is our local garden centre and we do enjoy it. We’ve often come to the cafe for a coffee and cake which has always been nice. This time we had lunch. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised.
I had a salad with ham and was blown away with two big thick cuts of ham. And a tasty salad too. The newish larger cafe and outdoor seating area are very nice.
