Excellent cask beers always available. Traditional style drinkers pub. No food, good unobtrusive piped music , dogs welcome. Terrestrial TV on for available key sporting events in tap room but NOT constantly switched on. Darts, Cribbage & Pool.

A proper local pub! A great landlord and landlady who have put a new lease of life into the pub with some well needed decorating! The pool table in a bonus but the customer service is 5/5!👍

Great dog friendly pub. Brilliant hosts Mick & shelley, complimentary food on bar too , who doesn't love a bit of bread & dripping in Barnsley 👍 lovely outside area with plenty of seating.

Friendly staff new owners Michael and Sheryl, dogs welcome - pool table and darts board inside. All I'd say is at some times it gets alittle tight for space but plenty of seating outside. Good variety of ale.

Walked past this place hundreds of times but never been before. Decided to call in at weekend again based on recommendations from friends. We were not disappointed - welcoming landlord / staff and a friendly “local” atmosphere meant we were not stared at for not being “local.” Stopped longer than planned as it was very friendly and relaxed. Will definitely call in again and it’s dog friendly too.

Had a wonderful visit last week to meet the new owners. Lovely surroundings, friendly, laid back atmosphere, good pint and owners who are not willing to be walked over by underage drinkers trying it on!
