The Moat Inn Donaghadee

We ate upstairs in Henry's Bistro, which was beautifully decorated. Chairs were comfortable & we got a window seat.Food was Delicious & our waitress Lesley was lovely & very helpful. My only complaint was that they didn't do chunky chips (just personal preference), thankfully my friend liked them & she swapped them for a roast potato ( her mum gave me hers too) Would HIGHLY recommend it.

Only place in Donaghadee you can get proper beer on the hand pump which is so much better than tap. The food is of a very high standard with a menu to suit all. You can eat upstairs in the restaurant but this doesn't have disabled access. Fortunately there is also ample space in the lounge which is perfectly set out for diners and has the same choice of menu and a lovely atmosphere and which is easily accessible for anyone with a disability. We came in for lunch on Thursday without booking (more popular times it may be advisable to book). My husband and friend had the roast beef which was so beautifully cooked that it was moist, tender and fell apart easily. I had the steak and ale pie which was packed with meat and absolutely delicious. The veg was also perfectly cooked. We will certainly be back again and would recommend this place to all.
