We really enjoyed our ninth wedding anniversary meal. Lovely welcome, good range of drinks/cocktails and the food was fab too. Particularly appreciated the excellent service which was attentive without being intrusive. We had an antipasto shared starter and my wife's carbonara was 'the best I've ever eaten'! My chicken breast strips with tomato/crab sauce was also excellent. We shall return!
We had a nice meal, nice food, good company. I found the space a little bit loud at times. I was also a bit unsure how to handle the "suggested" service charge on the bill, optional, but then there added to the total, felt bounced. However, overall, good especially the food.

La Rustica
Last night, we went to La Rustica in Doncaster. This was our first visit but it had been highly recommended by many people. The main dining area is in the brick vaulted basement which has a great atmosphere - like one big party! It’s chic, it’s romantic, it’s hip and it’s casual - all at the same time. The restaurant was packed solid when we arrived, and needs to be booked well in advance to secure a table.
We had anti pasta sharing platters, seafood and bruschetta to begin. We chose chicken carbonara, seafood linguine, salmon and asparagus linguine, and chicken with garlic and chilli for main courses served with delicious garlic bread. The food was excellent, all freshly cooked to order and delicious!!
The staff are amazing, and coped with the packed restaurant with ease - there were no mistakes with our orders, and everything was delivered efficiently and on time.
Honestly cannot recommend this place enough. We arranged for a large family meal as a surprise announcement for our wedding elopement. From the initial booking to oaying the experience was easy and pleasant. The staff were wonderful, lovely hosts. The food was incredible, we had a large party with a wide variety of meals chosen and not a single complaint. It was a lovely evening and I would not hesitate to recommend or to return. Perfect.
I ordered a portion of pasta and a pizza and I mentioned no pineapple on pizza, it arrived with pineapple on it . The food was good but they can probably pay more attention, and for those who will probably say that I could order a different pizza, yes you are right I could but this was the only one with ham.
The dessert ordered was too sweet personally for me. The ground floor is warmer and feels more private. Food is OK
Amazing! Really tasty food, nice design of the place and all positive. I must say though, the service here is what's outstanding! The waiters are really taking care of you and I couldn't imagine them doing any more better job. Seriously I don't know what money are the waiters on but no matter what they deserve a rise, I don't think I ever felt so much taken care of in such a professional way in a restaurant. Staff very attentive, but not too much, just perfect, really good memory, very friendly and funny. Also getting some free shots and chocolates at the end is a nice touch. Been there more than once already and every time it was a perfect experience, I 100% recommend!
I've never been to a place where the staff are this happy to have you. It was an absolutely lovely place, with beautiful decor and "rustic" feeling. We ordered the fruit coolers which were absolutely DELICIOUS-- definitely get the strawberry and lime. Echu came round and asked if we wanted our picture taken and he tooks tonnes of photos at different angles and filters- quality photographer! We had the garlic bread to share (tasty and massive portion) and then I had a bolognese and my friend had a pepperoni pizza. If we had more time, and were less stuffed, we definitely would have had dessert. By the end we got a couple chocolates and shots on the house. Heres to Echu and Moise for excellent service! Thank you for a great night.
The food and service is great. Would absolutely come here again. Not a single fault with the food, atmosphere or service.
Adding the tip to the receipt is a little bit cheeky because we would have tipped anyway.
