It doesn't look much from the outside but a warm welcome, efficient friendly service and a massive slice of delicious steak pie with perfectly cooked veg wait on the inside (other options are available). Make sure you're hungry when you go because you won't be when you leave. Definitely on my list to go back.

Been a long time since we've eaten here, went for Sunday lunch. Great food and portions and staff on hand to help with a friendly smile, well worth a visit and reasonably priced.

Me and my friend had the Chicken Parma tonight. If you haven't tried it, I would definitely recommend it. Absolutely beautiful. Service 100%.

Been here for last two weekends lovely home cooked meals big portions also do small plates for adults too first visit fish and chips second Sunday lunch wow will defo be going back food atmosphere and staff great couldn't do enough for us

Good food and service. We had the steak pie and the lamb shank. The latter being especially good. More than adequate portions, especially with the pie! Food prices towards the top end for pub grub.
Let down by the lack of availability of a hand pulled beer and the city centre pricing of the IPA.
Good car park and easy to reach from the A1 or A19 for those travelling.

First time eating here and it wont be the last! Staff where super attentive and kind and really took pride in what they where doing, food was lovely and a good atmosphere. Would definitely reccommend booking on weekends as it can get really busy and i can see why! 😋 5*

Lovely pub,nice atmosphere,friendly staff apart from one waitress who appeared bossy to the 2 younger waitresses and was abrupt. Food arrived quite quickly and was nice apart from my steak not cooked as requested.Chips were lovely but would've preferred onion rings than fried onions. I felt the peppercorn sauce wasn't worth the cost and wasn't that nice as it tasted sweet. Apart from that it was a nice meal
