A truly outstanding cafe!!! Excellent service from some delightful ladies. The bacon sarnie was the best I have ever had at a fishing pond cafe and the blended tea was delicious. The ladies who run the cafe were friendly and helpful. The five star rating I have given them is well deserved. Thank you Cheryl, Anne, Gran & the young lady who was serving at the counter. I look forward to calling in again.
Had a lovely afternoon tea here today, the sandwiches were my fav... the bread was very fresh and soft, I couldn't eat it all so I fetched a doggy bag home with me. Cute and quaint little place next to a pretty fishing lake, will be lovely in the warmer weather and the staff service was amazing. Thank you very much <3 xx.
What a lovely little cafe with the most amazing food.. and even better cakes! Going from Alison and to the other girls who work their hardest to deliver the best visit for you! I do definitely recommend! Can’t wait to visit again to try the lunch time menu!😋😋
Thank you all at Dainty Doris for being the best!
Dainty Doris is one of my favourite places! I love all their homemade delights, especially the Manchester Tart!
I've not reviewed before but really felt I should this time.
I was there yesterday at their first LIVE music event "Tea, tunes & cakes". It was a wonderful afternoon with great music, complimented by fantastic homemade food, a great choice of drinks and very attentive staff who couldn't do enough to help.
I can't wait for their next LIVE music event in July, and look forward to whatever future events that they might host. DD is certainly worth a vist anytime!!
Thank you Team Doris Xx
Best yet afternoon tea we’ve had 👍 very friendly staff, great location and super food, really liked the mini trifles in glasses, I can’t recommend this highly enough.
Fabulous experience and lovely place to visit. The afternoon tea is a must do. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Good prices and the homemade cakes are a must try to take away with you
The cafe lived up to the reputation I have heard about previously. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food delicious. I now know to book in advance in future, luckily we went when it was fairly quiet. Our only concern was the accessibility. Maneuvering a wheelchair across the gravel is extremely difficult and is also very challenging for anyone with balance or other mobility issues. We understand the expense of other types of surfaces such as tarmac but there are self binding gravels which might prove to be a huge improvement and encourage customers to return who have such problems. But overall excellent quality and service.
Excellent tearoom. Very nice food and coffees with a wide choice menu. Really like the decor.....oh and the bathroom facilities have unique fittings 😊
Went to dainty Doris yesterday with the ladies and had an amazing Breakfast Thank you Alison Clark the staff really friendly 💯 percent will be going back it has a lake so in summer you can sit outside so if looking for somewhere to eat I definitely recommend it
What a lovely welcome we received today at this beautiful coffee shop , never had such a warm welcome.
Food was delicious, didn’t wait long , will definitely be returning as the cakes etc looked amazing but sadly couldn’t fit one in this time
I was the lady with the little white Shicon & my friend
This place may be a little out of the way, but I'm sure it will develop a great reputation and attract many Tea Room fans from far and wide. A cosy building with a quaint and traditional environment and atmosphere to match from the decor to the background music it all fits and works perfectly. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is ample seating which is well spaced. They have a set menu and a specials board on the wall with daily alternatives. We didn't try one on this occasion but they have a board dedicated to special flavoured hot chocolates, which I'm sure will be a hit with everyone. If you're a coffee lover then you won't be dissapointed I had a cappuccino which was rich and smooth. There are plenty of food options to choose from and should be something to suit all tastes. Can highly recommend the home made secret recipe sausage roll, it has to be one of the best I have tasted. If food allergies are a concern just speak to the staff who I'm sure will be able find something to meet your needs. There is ample off road parking so no issues there. As a cyclist this is ideally located and I can see my self stopping of for coffee and cake whilst out and about. Definitely worth a visit, we'll definitely be back.
Absolutely would recommend this place. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is wonderful and the food and drinks are top tier. Lovely and cosy, right next to a fishing lake so lovely to sit outside on the benches in warmer weather. Always got a different range of sweet treats and they are always delicious!
