Good ale, good food and the staff are brilliant!* Original Review: I don't get to visit as often as I'd like, but when I do I can always find a beer 🍻 or cocktail 🍹 that will tantalise my taste buds and satisfy my alcoholic yearning! A small quaintly set out bar, with happy knowledgeable staff. Tasters available on beer if you are struggling to choose, which adds to the experience. And if you're hungry, bar nibbles 🥖🥜🧀 and menu available, with some out of this world home-made cakes 🍰 A big thanks to the local staff for always being friendly and helpful, and of course for running this bar where it is situated 🤩💕

The first time I visited The Local, it become my favourite place to go each week. A great selection of beers, including IPA’s, Sour beers, Stouts etc. The pumps are changed every week, so it’s brilliant to be able to go in the following week and try new beers each time. The food has always been amazing, but the New Mexican 🇲🇽 themed menu that has been introduced is out of this world. A great selection for such a small kitchen, I can’t wait to work my way through the menu. So you’ve got great beer, great food, and to top it off, you’ve got the staff who make you feel like you’re part of the family. It’s perfect!

With a tap selection that is on rotation its a nice surprise to find a new taste each week. The platter boards and honey sausages are lovely. They have regular evening events with karaoke, Greek and Curry nights, live music etc. The Laura and Paul are very knowledgable about any beer related questions you have and are constantly on the search for the next barrel to bring in. Also dog friendly - but they are only allowed the biscuits due to licensing laws.

Amazing food, from the boards to the tasty focaccia toasties and not forgetting the incredible cakes. Love calling in for a coffee and cake or cheeky tipple and visit whenever we can. Laura and Paul are always so welcoming and accommodating. So pleased they have been able to open back up again. See you soon!

Awesome place, very unique little place. Probably fit a maximum of 35 people and that will be cosy. The bar had a good selection of guns etc. The beers are always changing, which can be a little frustrating as you find one you like and it's not there next week, lol. Good selection of coffee and hot chocolate. Nice food selection, nothing big, more a selection of hot finger food. Great chilli. Love this place.
