Great day at Hickleton today. Course is in great condition considering we had torrential rain before we played. Facilities are excellent and were made to feel welcome by all. Good food after the golf rounded off a super day out
Great course, very challenging but in superb condition
Course in really good condition despite the last month's monsoons. True greens and semi-rough at a sensible length. Good grub at fair prices served promptly and cheerfully in a clean and well-appointed clubhouse
Went for a round this morning, travelled over from Scarborough. Couldn't have picked a better day weather wise, a 4 ball teed off in front of us ( 2ball) and the pace of play was great, we waited for them to clear the first green then we were a hole behind all round. The greens are in superb condition though a touch faster than I am used to, this isn't a criticism as I liked the fast greens, they ran true too which was great. The gentleman in the club shop was very friendly and even a workman who was near the putting green had some advice for us regarding the course which was nice. Fairways were also in great condition. I'd say its a challenging course, especially with the blind shots you have to hit. I'd like to think I'd shoot a better score next time I come now I have a rough idea of where the best misses are. All in all I would definitely recommend people try this course out. It's probably a little different to what you are used to.

Everyone agreed it was an excellent day out .The course was stunning and hospitality was superb.
If you haven't played this course,then put it on your bucket list.

We played at Hickleton GC today in the seniors open. The event was very well organised, everyone was friendly and everything we needed to know was explained very well. The course itself was in immaculate condition, please pass on my thanks to the greens staff, I would say it was the best conditioned course I have played this year. Thankyou very much, we will definitely be back next year. WELL DONE HICKLETON !
Great course, first time here didn't play well, have to go back and have another go, more expensive than other local courses, but worth the money, a really interesting 1st hole.
Lovely course and a warm welcome! Very friendly staff and a very nice clubhouse. Would love to go again!

Beautiful undulating parkland course was a bit damp when we played there and you couldn't take your trolley on the fairways so made it a long round but saying that I would definitely come back in better conditions and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming
Friendly person in the clubhouse. I'd never played the course before so was eager to give it a try. Heard that it is very hilly and tough with a high slope rating.
Right from the first hole it was clear that the course was very sticky after the winter and recent rain. It was difficult to strike the ball cleanly without a chunk of mud coming with it. Then it started to rain and continued for the rest of the round.
I imagine that when it dries out it will be beautiful and a tough physical challenge especially for seniors like me. Will be happy to play it again in a couple of months when the weather is better.
