10 of us been for lunch today and it was brilliant. The food and the service was perfect and we'll all spread the word. We had a 30% voucher to use which made the meals such good value. The meat pie 3 of us had was exceptional and the steaks ordered were cooked to perfection. A great lunch had by all and all the staff especially the landlady so friendly and obliging. Thankyou Sportsman for a lovely Mothers day.

Food was good and very reasonable for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Decor is rather dated, chairs were uncomfortable and these factors detracted from our enjoyment of the visit.

This was a very good experience, we went at 1pm sun it was fairly quiet but service was excellent my son wanted to play pool before dinner, staff really good service, we ordered starters which we ate in pool room, very nice !! We then went to dining area, everything was clean and menu laid out clearly, i ordered and a few alterations were accepted chips/mash etc. The Food arrived soon enough and all three of us cleared our plates i can definitely recommend the mixed grill. All in all very good food, good service

Visited yesterday because it really is a dog friendly pub. It happened to be the first day of their new menu so we were lucky enough to get a ,30% discount off our food
All good is cooked fresh so it's hot and well presented

Fabulous visit to celebrate my birthday today. I enjoyed the curry which was tasty and delicious. As it was my birthday I was treated to a free ice cream sundae. I would highly recommend to everyone and we have already booked to come again.

We visited the Sportsman with our family for a rare get together over the festive period! Candice and the team made us feel very welcome and the food was great! We will 100% be returning!!

Charlie couldn’t be more helpful! He even brought the dogs a water bowl ☺️ the food was yummy, great classic pub food. We were made to feel really welcome, lovely atmosphere and all 4 of us really really enjoyed the food. A little gem!

Great friendly pub and they allow dogs in which is great and you can tell they actually love dogs! They always make a fuss of my dog when I walk in! Food is lovely too at a reasonable price and a lovely down to earth atmosphere!

Came out for my dad’s birthday, 4 generations. Saturday afternoon for lunch, bit to busy but this meant that food was served quickly and was a great place to catch up. Friendly, helpful staff. Great service. Thanks

First time visit. It won’t be the last.
We were a family group of 7. There was plenty of choice on the menu to suit all of our tastes and they also catered for my son’s food allergies. The member of staff was lovely and the food was delicious.
