Spent a day in Dorchester & after two cups of rather mediocre coffee I came upon this place. Lovely coffee that actually tasted of coffee rather than insipid brown milk. Wonderful homemade fruit cake. Forget the other cafes in town. This is the best by far

Popped in for tea and cake yesterday afternoon. Delicious home made cake, friendly staff, all together a great place to go for a sweet treat when visiting Dorchester.

Very nice cafe, good and friendly service, nice menu. I had steak and kidney pudding with mash and green veg, very tasty. Staff and owner were very welcoming with our dog, too. Recommended!

What a wonderful find, we only happened upon the cafe by chance. The staff were warm and welcoming. Or food was of high quality and extremely delicious. We are aiming to go back soon and we would most definitely eat here again. There were also lots of homemade cakes, none of which we had however it looked like you may not stop at one (Even though you should). Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Last week I was wandering around Dorchester with my dog "biscuit" looking for a dog friendly place I could get a cup of tea and a snack while my car was being serviced. The lady's in this establishment are absolutely brilliant, so friendly, and couldn't do enough for the dog. An added bonus is that a pot of tea and a toasted tea cake were really reasonably priced. I will definitely be back, with or without "biscuit" thank you ladies.

Excellent cafe/tea-room in the historic town of Dorchester. Breakfast, as it should be, served all day. Reasonably priced. You can choose your own combination or go for one of their specials. Various light lunches are available also, a nice selection of cakes to choose from for afternoon tea. We really enjoyed our breakfasts with hot mugs of good coffee. I might have preferred to have a more meaty sausage. As we were so well looked after by a lovely pair of such lovely young ladies, I couldn't complain about a thing.

What a lovely little cafe on the High Street. The staff were so friendly and falling over themselves to be welcoming and accommodating, cleaning and sanitising the table best distanced from other guests. The food was freshly prepared and delicious especially the home made gluten free carrot cake. We will certainly make it a regular stop.

We always make a beeline for this place when we are in Dorchester, I first visited about twenty years ago and it has barely changed (in a good way!). The host is an absolute gent, one of the last of the old school where the customer is made to feel like the star and you can tell the business is his passion. The cakes are reasonably priced and the food is excellent, we're just sorry to live so far away that we can't visit more often! We look forward to seeing visiting again, whenever that may be 🙂

We had a large group, were seated quickly by very friendly staff! Delicious chicken and good vegetarian options. The all-day breakfast really hit the spot! Definitely recommend the milkshakes :)

Lovely old fashioned tea house! The staff are lovely, the food is fantastic and it's a lovely quaint building. The prices are fair and great for what you get; fresh tasty food... My favourite Dorchester cake shop!

Lovely little cafe, only had coffee and cake but was delighted with it. Good quality coffee and excellent homemade cake. Staff were all absolutely lovely. Will have to come back to try a meal sometime!
