We enjoyed a breakfast & a tuna mayo jacket potato, with drinks. Always good food & service.

They do a Sunday carvery, we had and they had plenty of meat with all the trimmings and a very good selection of vegetables. Sports of TV if you want that kind of background, but it's not for us.

A good traditional English café. But the food is good and not a bad price so have a go.

Wonderful find, amazing value, super friendly staff. Our food was delicious, and the coffee was good to wash it down. Loads to choose from and it nice and hot when served. The place was clean and welcoming, will return when next in Dorchester.

Stopped in the George for lunch 13th October. The place was fairly busy. We managed to get a seat. I ordered the cod and chips and my wife had a cheese and ham salad. Well, when the food arrived about 20 minutes later. I was absolutely gobsmacked. In front of my wife was the biggest salad we have ever seen. Both meals were very tasty and very good quality and value. The staff were very friendly. Back to the salad, my wife filled a takeaway box after she'd had her fill. Great. Thank you so much.

What a lovely cafe, staff warm welcoming and friendly great selection of food and all at a reasonable price and no the food disappoint one bit with fast and good portions. Cafe was spotlessly clean and had a constant wood theam though out, would definitely recommend going there is your passing by Dorchester as i will 100% be going back.

We come here. One of our mums favourite places. Turns out we have been coming as long as the lady on the till. A lovely place.

I always go to The Gorge for lunch if I’m in Dorchester. You get a generous size portion for great value for money. It’s a comfortable, good value for money cafe, not The Ritz. If you’re expecting fresh-line caught fish not frozen and burgers that are not frozen, get real - it’s a cafe. If you want that kind of thing, go to a high-end restaurant. Yes it is small so you can hear the manager occasionally directing her staff because she runs a tight ship. Clean, friendly staff and the steak pie is just yum. Always come here always will. Great atmosphere. Uncertain what to say to improve on.
