We enjoyed a breakfast & a tuna mayo jacket potato, with drinks. Always good food & service.
They do a Sunday carvery, we had and they had plenty of meat with all the trimmings and a very good selection of vegetables.
Sports of TV if you want that kind of background, but it's not for us.
A good traditional English café.
But the food is good and not a bad price so have a go.
Wonderful find, amazing value, super friendly staff. Our food was delicious, and the coffee was good to wash it down. Loads to choose from and it nice and hot when served. The place was clean and welcoming, will return when next in Dorchester.

Stopped in the George for lunch 13th October. The place was fairly busy. We managed to get a seat. I ordered the cod and chips and my wife had a cheese and ham salad. Big portions at a reasonable price, attentive service, & a good choice of music on the radio. The interior feels like you’re in a greasy spoon inside a sailing ship.

Amazing food and great service. Really friendly staff with understanding and accommodation for dietary requirements. Been here twice in the last month and both times have been a great experience for me and my kids.
On top of the fact the food is really nice . My late father was also a daily visiter to the Gorge. The staff they knew what he liked and were so friendly kind and caring. They get to know their regulars and treat them as family. So greatful to them.
Always a great place to go for breakfast whenever we’re in Dorchester. Staff are lovely and it’s reasonably priced.
