Lovely atmosphere! Been here several times now! Lovely staff, looked after really well. Food was delicious as usual! Booked easily online through the website. Restaurant was busy but really well looked after by staff. Really good choice of options on a few menus! Will be back!

Nice oldy worldy pub. Plenty of parking and seating when we visited for lunch. Service was friendly and good. We had a hot sandwich that was presented well. Filling was good. The roll/ bread was little too rustic for our liking, and we both found it heavy going. Would have preferred a soft roll or bread, given the choice. Don't forget to enter your car reg when at the bar to avoid a fine. The signage about this is fairly prominent, so we did.

Very nice place to eat. The service staff were cheery and eager to please, nothing too much trouble. The staff catered for my daughter's allergy, although it was a very limited choice. The food was excellent and plentiful. The fish and chips was huge; couldn't finish it! Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

We had an amazing experience, our waiter Cameron was incredible. He was friendly, attentive and regularly checked in on us, had a genuine smile on his face the whole time and was really helpful. One of the best experiences we've had while out for dinner. The food was delicious and full of flavour and the drinks were amazing.

Went there for lunch with a large group of friends. Food was excellent. We were all happy with our meals, including the vegetarians among us. Staff were very helpful and service was good. Waitress was a little slow returning to take our dessert order but as we were enjoying ourselves and were in no hurry it was not a problem

Stayed around the corner from the pub for the night to break up the journey from Cornwall (18/10). Arrived at about 2pm and was greeted by incredibly friendly staff. We had our two year old with us, the gentleman behind the bar gave her crayons and a children’s menu to play with whilst we decided what to have for lunch. We ordered a pizza and steak sandwich along with a couple of other sides and the food was lovely. After chatting to another member of staff about where we were staying for the night she went out of her way to recommend a soft play area local to where we were. A must visit pub, lovely atmosphere, great food and even better staff. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the two members of staffs names but both are a credit to the pub!

This is now our regular local pub, have been in a few times since Christmas but the last 4 weeks have been the best visits so far. The atmosphere is happy and relaxed, the team are friendly and service is 5 star. The food recently has been much improved and the beer tastes amazing. Keep the improvement going

Incredible service and food in this atmospheric little pub in Downend. Food was really good. Service was unsurpassed. Cameron was our waiter, and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended
