Have had many a delicious carvery here but as it was a Friday evening we decided to order off the menu .. What a good choice !! We both had the steak pie which I can honestly say was the best pie I’ve ever had in a pub !! The pastry was so light and was crammed full of really succulent beef .. the vegetables & chips were cooked just right and to top it all off , the gravy was off the carvery which is to die for .. so tasty ... I even asked for another little jug full , which the server was more than happy to get ... And all for £11.99 for 2 .. outstanding value .. will be visiting more during the week now as well as a Sunday ... What a shame !!
I went here with my family on Saturday 9th June to have a meal and celebrate my dads 70th birthday.
I couldn’t fault anything the food was lovely and the service was great and the waitress we had was lovely always asking if everything was ok and if she could get us anything else
I can’t remember her name but she looked after us and even helped us about trying pink gin too as we had never tried it before,thank you very much for your help

Great food. Large portions. Reasonable prices. Excellent customer service. You can validate your parking inside by typing in your registration plate.
Wide range of drinks and food. Amazing mojito. definitely recommend their lamb, mussels, Katsu curry with rice. Great taste.
Overall 10 on 10 experience. Definitely recommend and will go again.
I booked a table for me and a friend for lunch it’s our first time since the pub has been refurbish. We was lucky it was warm enough to sit outside. it was so lovely to sit outside on the patio it was lovely. The food was yummy and great value for money. I will say the staff are all fantastic especially our waitress Krystal. She gave us lots of advice on what to order was very attentive we both thought the dessert was so lovely so thank you for the tip Krystal 😊.. would 100% recommend this place to anyone.. the restaurant looks so much nicer inside and more inviting. All in all a great visit.
Just recently took my mum to Red Lion for a quick drink and snack. We ordered some chicken strips and chips and it was great. The staff were very welcoming and caring. The pub itself also had a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Awesome food with a warm welcome and atmosphere. I had a mixed grill, all of the meats were cooked perfectly. Solid meal, definitely be back.
The food and service at the Red Lion was fantastic. The menu offers a wide variety of tempting dishes, ranging from traditional to light bites and scrumptious desserts, all at a good price. Gluton free menu options too. Atmosphere was chilled and relaxing. Disabled ♿ friendly toilet but beware of a step up to it .Free car park (register details inside) and garden with smoking area also. Highly recommend that you visit for a enjoyable experience.
It has been 40 years since we last visited the Red Lion, it has changed considerably, from a village local to a village restaurant and pub.
It is bright and inviting but has lost a little of the cosiness.
We were there for a family meal and, whilst the family ordering was a nightmare (the family not the ordering) Jess was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble and she smiled throughout.
All of the staff were fab, the food was not bad, my medium steak was overdone and my mother's hunters chicken did look a little dry but they got the food out together and it was hot and well presented.

Hunters chicken, chips and salad etc. Chicken strips, veg and sweet potato fries( to die for). Mini dessert with coffee great for £5.69 each. Good value, service and atmosphere. Recommended.
Came here on a Tuesday evening for a change to the Mon-Fri grind and to have a lovely meal out. Such a great evening. We both had pies and they were huge and really tasty. Super friendly service. So nice to get out midweek. My partner had a crumble and custard, which he wolfed down and really enjoyed. Great prices - deal on the pies was 2 for around £14.

Wow we had a brilliant Saturday & Sunday bank holiday weekend.
We came Saturday with the children and they loved the kid’s entertainer, he done an amazing job of keeping so many children entertained for 2 hours, giving the adults time to relax and enjoy the lovely food and drink.
We came back again Sunday and again the entertainment was brilliant. Lovely young lady singing followed by an amazing DJ who despite the rain kept everyone dancing and having so much fun.
Good to see a local pub bringing the local community together. And a huge thank you to the amazing staff who worked so hard to serve lovely food.
Will definitely be coming back again and can’t wait for the next weekend event.
Great meals and service at reasonable price staff are always attentive to your needs very homely atmosphere. One of my favourite places to eat and relax.
