Friday evening a group of us went for a meal. The staff were wonderful, the service was friendly and quick and everyone of us enjoyed the food! Could not recommend enough
I recently visited this pub after hearing about its new management, and seeing the carvery photos online
The pub has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and the staff made us feel right at home. The menu had a great variety of options, ranging from classic pub fare to more modern dishes. The carvery was simply delicious
The service was outstanding as well. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. Considering the high quality of the food and the overall experience it is well worth the money.
Overall, I highly recommend this pub with its new management. Whether you're looking for a place to enjoy a tasty meal, grab a drink, or simply have a great time with friends, this pub ticks all the boxes.
Booked here for a Sunday Carvery. I have mobility problems and they had reserved me a nice table. My partner and I both thought the food was spot on !

Price is good and they sell a great selection of drinks. The staff are also helpful and welcoming ...... Highly Recommended .....so happy to see this pub in safe hands again !
Great pub food and good beer selection, gluten free knowledge and confidence good, veggie options avaliable, very family orientated. Could do with a change in colour scheme, especially the toilets. All in all good visit, on the noisier side of the dining spectrum.

Little quiet but we ordered 2 rump steaks and they were perfect! Service great, clean interior, we will be back!

Lovely to see Josh and team at the Pillar of Salt. All staff were welcoming and friendly. Great selection on the carvery, 4 meats to choose from and nice fresh vegetables. The pub is clean and cosy with a family friendly atmosphere. We sat next to a lady who lives locally and eats there regularly, and she was super happy to see the pubs' popularity increasing under this new team :) we will be spreading the word! See you guys again soon :)
We both had Cod & Chips which was was excellent & the batter was lovely & crispy. So far every meal that we have had here has been very good. Compliments to your Chef, & to other staff for their friendly attitude.

Returned here on an overcast Tuesday afternoon and stopped to eat. Great selection of real Beers. I had a perfect steak with chips mushrooms, peas etc and my partner had spicy pulled pork baguette.
So glad to see this pub back in good hands and welcoming again !
