Shacks Fish And Chips

The place is a new modern unit with a seating area and a counter order service. The sausage supper was very tasty and the chips were good. Not just a traditional chipper, pizzas and kebabs, burgers prepared also. Some quirky menu choices. The price was fantastic, only £5.50 for what I had. The service was ok, was told straight off that it would be a 15 mins wait, and there were a lot of people in the same boat. Pizza orders and other orders would be even longer. There were only two young lads on duty, so maybe understaffed or lack of cooking equipment. But the food was worth it.

Does not deserve a 3.8 rating... It deserves way better! The food is absolutely spectacular🤩! The kind lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. I did see people complain that the food was greasy but that's typical for fish and chips. The food was at great value. I would definitely come here again and again!

Really good food, with booths so you can sit inside. Everything is cooked fresh to order, so be prepared to wait 15-20 mins. Generous portions. The only reason why I feel I can't give 5* is that when it came to pay I got out my card & they said cash only! Luckily my sister-in-law had enough cash to pay for our party of 7! (If they had a sign on door stating this I would have tried co-op cash point first to see if it was working!) We will have to return again to try the calzone as they had run out of doner meat!
