Excellent service and atmosphere in the pub. Food was simple but tasty. Massive portions. Sunday roast was yummy but desserts were all a bit too sweet and not worth it. Rest of the food was great so I would definitely return. Book ahead, was busy when we visited on a Sunday.

This is the place to eat in Drymen particularly for dinner. The restaurant is cozy, warm and the perfect place after a day of walking or touring. It is good to have a reservation as it was packed even on a weekday during non-peak season. Both the soup and gnocchi were good, but on the salty end.

Visited for a Golden Wedding Celebration. Booked a table for 11 people. Staff were so friendly and helpful, food was amazing from the kids to the adults all plates were cleared! Definitely recommend a visit here..... We had a great time, thank you!

I'd heard so many great things about this place and made it a point to visit while on the West Highland Way. We'd booked a table which was lucky because its really popular. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our table. On the way to our seats literally every member of staff we passed made an effort to welcome us. The food was amazing. We ended up having 3 courses as everything tasted so great we knew we wouldn't be disappointed. I had pie for my main and I can honestly say I've never had a pie so filled as here and it was so good. An overall fantastic evening from the excellent service to the delicious food.

Safe to say we had one of the best soups we've had in a while (curried parsnip). Paired with some chips, giant onion rings and a pint of IPA it was the perfect little dinner we were looking for. Thanks a lot! Warm and welcoming staff. Would definitely come back the next time. Make sure you book a table as it can be very busy.

Outstanding! Staying in a holiday cottage in Drymen for a week, upon reading the visitors book, every previous visitor said the same thing,"You have to eat at the Clachan". A beautiful old inn, oldest licensed inn in Scotland. The staff are extremely friendly & welcoming, the food menu is impressive, as for the food itself, I can't remember ever having better. If you're a whisky lover, then you'll have come to the right place, I don't believe I've ever seen so many malts on offer, some quite rare, you'll find them all on the drinks menu. A first class experience. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this beautiful old inn when visiting the lovely village of Drymen, or even if you're the Loch Lomond area.

Its the best! We love it there and pop around a couple of times a month for a meal. Lovely friendly and helpful staff, great menu and delicious, tasty, well presented food. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic. One tip though, I'd highly recommend booking in advance. The Clachan is very popular and therefore always busy but you won't be disappointed. We'll be back very soon

definitely a must. the staff extremely friendly and fast. Always trying to ask if everything is ok. very polite even in stressful moments. the ambience extremely pleasant and elegant. typically Scottish in the bar area, people like to drink and talk. in the restaurant area you can enjoy your peace and quiet. the food. really really good. My wife and I have been there twice and were not disappointed. we are on a journey and the best cuisine in Scotland so far. the steak, noted in the picture, was so good that I actually ordered it twice in a row in one evening. a tip. Definitely make a reservation, otherwise you'll have to wait over an hour for a table

*Review for restaurant * Having driven through Drymen for years, I had never stopped in the village other than for an ice cream! Can’t believe how long I’ve been missing out! 😲 The staff are very confident and friendly, couldn’t be happier to accommodate if possible! But the food!! 5⭐️ without a doubt. As a party of 7, there wasn’t a crumb left of any of the chosen dishes. Steak pie for me - best I’ve ever had. The meat was tender, wasn’t salty /sickly and just the right amount of pastry on top. Other dishes ordered and recommended; seafood salad, beef Sunday roast and kids fish and chips! Such a positive dining experience all round, the quality of the food proving most impactful for all! Book ahead is possible, it gets busy! Happy dining! 😋

Just had the most amazing meal here on Saturday night, everything was absolutely spot on from the minute we arrived. We had a lovely table and the food and service was exceptional. I had the salmon fillet which was huge and my husband had the fillet steak and said it was the best steak he's ever had, it was cooked to perfection. Everything was piping hot, the way it should be. This is a busy place and every table was taken but it didn't seem to bother the young staff , they knew exactly what they were doing . Top marks for everything, one of the best meals and best nights we have had. Can't wait to return.
