Castle View

We had a great evening with the children at Castle View. We hadn't booked a table on a Saturday night but it wasn't a problem. Edele greeted us and said we were next in line. She wasn't lying, by the time I'd ordered our drinks we were being seated. The food was cooked quickly and every member of staff who came to our table were super friendly and made a point of talking to our two young children. The food was great, extremely reasonable and left us full after a long day travelling and a visit to the nearby zoo & castle. We aren't in the area often but we will make a point of visiting Castle View next time we are.

We visited the Castle View on Sunday 22/10 and had a wonderful meal and enjoyed a really great quiz all in aid of Macmillan. There were 4 of us in total, 3 adults and one child, and our puppy. The pub is dog friendly in the bar area and she was very much loved and fussed, given water and treats too courtesy of Edel and Owen. Our meals were lovely too. Hot and tasty and filling too. The pub itself is big with loads of choices of seating but has a lovely warm cosy vibe to it, and the staff are amazing friendly like you have known them for years even though you have only just met. Lots of parking spaces to pick from just outside the door. We really enjoyed our time visiting and will definitely be back to visit again. Thank all all X

After a car accident tonight nearby, the staff at the restaurant were so kind and welcoming to our familyand went the extra mile for us. We are so grateful to John and all the staff who really cheered us all up after what happened. All the staff seemed really concerned and came to check on us. The food was also perfect, the atmosphere was wonderful here. We won't forget your hospitality and kindness and hopefully see you again soon xx

First time visit to Castle View this evening. Popped in for a few drinks while catch up with some work needing WiFi. Sat in bar area, quite nice to have a space for adults only. Only ordered drinks, and from working on laptop - used the app so didn't have to leave it unattended. Worked just fine, no problems at all. Could have given 5* except for only two fixable points: 1. I ordered drinks, yet the empty glasses were left behind on table. Ended up taking them to bar myself as was a small table. Really, if bring a fresh pint, should take the finished one back. 2. The toilets. They were a bit grim. Didn't smell too fresh and toilet paper around on the floor. Other than that, nice place to go. Will be fine coming back, and maybe try the food too and update review.

Went with the family; a birthday meal for my niece! Clean restaurant, tasty food and polite attentive service. The staff were extremely helpful, constantly smiling and very accommodating from the second we entered the building. The shift manager was very happy and flamboyant; his good positive energy spread throughout his team…! We enjoyed the food and the ambiance; thank you guys!!
