Good old fashioned chip shop!
It's always had a good reputation but as we need to pass three chip shops and two curry houses to get to Smith's we had never bought chips from them! However, we find our local chip shops are not the best so, we drove over and tried Smith's out.
Lovely staff, very clean and a continuous succession of customers made us think this is a good sign.
A little wait for our order to finish cooking and we headed back home.... To a very pleasant surprise!
Yes, they make the best chips etc we have found in years...

This is the best chippy I've been to for a long, long time. Every single time they've been great, and as I visit the area frequently, I always make sure I have a nice chippy tea from this place, those gnarly fat chips are absolutely fantastic 👌

If you want traditional fish and chips .proper chips here 5 stars as there the best around . You will not be dissapointed travel 12 miles to get my chips from here

1st class food and always enjoy the food , the chip portion could be a little more generous for my liking but I geuss its acceptable, after all they have to make a living and with the price of living the way it is I won't hold it against them .

Best F& C for miles, always use mr smiffs, although its a good ride from where we live, never been dissapointed, yum yum !

Just passing through on the canal. Let down by the nearest pubs. Had large fish and chips and they were honestly the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted. Freshly cooked crispy chips, beautiful cod. Friendly efficient staff. Well done Smiths!
