Another new restaurant for us to try. To be honest I wasn't sure about this place at first. Knowing the location I was guessing it was a takeaway with a few tables. Indeed it is but definitely has more of a restaurant presentation than a takeaway. The room is small, clean and tidy, and nicely decorated. The reviews although excellent weren't telling me a lot plus there are a few that have only commented on just this place, but given the number of 5*s I thought we couldn't go too far wrong. On our Friday night it was a bit quiet although the take away trade seemed to be going well. Overall the evening was great, the front of house were so nice, extremely welcoming and attentive. We really enjoyed the dips with the poppadoms all very nicely presented. We have had some good sheekh kebabs recently and here was the best to date. The main courses were excellent, this is personal preference of course but both our meals were full of flavour with mine having a bit more heat as requested. The chicken tikka tasty and not dry. Nice sides of rice and a huge portion of fries, but the fluffy garlic and coriander naan's flavour really did stand out. The service and timing was spot on, friendly but not intrusive. It's obvious they have been in the restaurant business for some time although this place has only been open for just under a year. One glaring omission from the reviews is that you can take your own alcohol which is always a bonus, however it is already competitively priced. Well worth checking out.

An outstanding meal. We have been to many Indian restaurants around Stourbridge, Wordlsey and Sedgley, this restaurant in Dudley is new and is head and shoulder above the other restaurants we’ve been to. It’s only little as it’s a new business, but it makes up in friendliness and fresh, flavoursome food. Quality. Just remember to take your own alcohol.

Called in on a bitterly cold evening as we needed to stay over for work. What a gem of a restaurant. The food was exceptional, best Ceylon I have ever had and my colleague said the same about the Pathia. It’s not just the food though the owner and chef really like to get to know what you like to eat. If we are ever back here again this will be my first port of call.
