Visited for lunch on an early November very wet day....yet the pub was still pretty full and had a really nice atmosphere with a large log fire.
Service was outstanding....one of our group had significant dietary preferences and the serving team did everything to accommodate them, even popping out to the local supermarket to get a particular milk type. How many places would offer to do that??
Food was excellent....spring roll starters were superb, beef pie top notch.
Their coffee is also extremely good, we tried cappuccino, americano and pumpkin spiced latte, all better than you'd get in a good coffee shop.
Well worth a visit.

Easy going and comfortable place with a warm welcome. Great food with a varied menu, well presented - both fish dishes were excellent. Nice garden out back that looks like it would be lovely in summer.

First visit on a hot and sticky night that must have been a real challenge to work in yet there was no signs of this from the amazing and attentive staff. Food was with us quickly despite it being really busy. Really enjoyed my salad and looking forward to going back and trying some of the other options. A great evening, cheers!

Lovely place to eat or just have a drink, I went with my daughter and my sister we had such a lovely time we were there almost 4 hours just eating and chatting.
The food was delicious fresh and hot, very good menu plenty to choose from.
The service was excellent very attentive staff, we will definitely return I would highly recommended this superb place.

I recently visited the White Hart in Duffield and had an amazing culinary experience. The first course I enjoyed was the scallops with pancetta which were cooked to perfection and had a delightful flavour. The presentation was beautiful and the portion size was just right.
For my main course I ordered the fillet steak and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and had an exceptional flavour. It was accompanied with triple cooked chips which were cooked to perfection as well. The presentation was impressive and the portion size was just right.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly making me feel right at home. The service was impeccable from start to finish.
Overall I had a fantastic dining experience at the White Hart in Duffield. The quality of the food the service, and the atmosphere surpassed all expectations. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful lunch or dinner

Went in for a cup of tea, lovely surprise with warm welcome. After a cheeky request to sit next to a window, was seated within seconds. Tea was bought to our table. Menu was inviting, so we ordered a couple of starters, just for nibbles. The food was piping hot, and delicious. We asked for water, which was delivered in an ice cold bottle, crystal clear.
Very impressed with the service and the food. Only on a day out, but could easily be a local if we lived in the village

Stayed a couple nights in Duffield & come across the White Hart , this is most definitely the place to go !
A mix of all ages & pet friendly & a great atmosphere.
The food is an an another level , perfect portion size along with absolute quality produce.
As the weather was great we opted for the beer garden the food arrived piping hot and served by the most pleasant & professional staff . So good , we headed straight back the next evening.
The outside bar staff were brilliant ! No doubt were the staff inside too , so I hope the manager reads this & appreciates what a difference they make to the business & tells them so.
This is most definitely the go to place in. Duffield.

I was searching for a new place to eat. After googling the top places in Derby, ‘The White Hart’ was an option. We’ll speak about the good bits first.
The Menu was very appealing and attractive with some great prices too, so we booked a table. Initially it stated we’d get a table inside but we desired to have one outside due to the weather. We made a note for an outside table if available. There is designated parking for customers only which is free. The interior decor is beautiful creating a warm, welcoming ambiance. The Tables are spaced out enough to give customers their privacy. We were then sat outside in the garden under a pergola. The Pergola garden area is beautiful. Designed beautifully for family’s and friends in partitioned areas for you and your party. There is a bar outside too. They offer table service or you can order at the bar.
We ordered our food - Pan Fried Sea Bass and Kerala Fish Curry. It was divine! Absolutely beautiful! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the food and service was ‘almost’ faultless! I’d definitely recommend the Fish Curry. There’s not many places that can get this right, but ‘The White Hart’ got it spot on!!! We weren’t waiting too long for food either which was great. The staff attended to us and made sure we were alright or if we needed anything. Thank you for a lovely ‘White Hart heart 🤍’ experience. 💫

Overall not bad. Kind staff, nice and cozy interior. Good beer selection-standard plus some really good stuff what I like. Now food-we ordered crispy pork belly in BBQ sauce as starter, lamb shank, pork medallions and lemon tart for desert. Food was delicious, just lamb shank I would suggest to stew it about 5min more so that meat inside would be more tender. Potatoes, carrots and peas were terrific. We will definitely come back with friends. And one more important thing for us-very clean restaurant-tables, floors.👌🏼 keep it like that, please. I will give 4,5 stars so that there is space to improve(lamb shank😁) way to go White Hart!

This is one of our village’s pubs, and how lucky are we? This gorgeous pub is a bit more ‘upmarket’, but still reasonably priced. Combine that with welcoming ambiance, great service and delicious food, and you’ve got a winner. We’ve enjoyed our supper each time. Still need to try their pizzas, so that’s on the list for our next visit. Be sure to make a booking if you’re going for an evening meal.
