What a superb pub. Landlord and lady couldn't be more welcoming and accommodating. Really polite and friendly staff and exceptional service. Great menu and clotted cream curry highly recommended! Simply superb food. Notably excellent variety of local rum too! Nice to know all ingredients sourced locally. Well worth a visit and highly recommended.

We visited last year while on holiday in the area and it was so lovely we had to come back this year! Food and service were still just as amazing. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. We felt very relaxed and not rushed. Our 2 dogs were very welcomed and looked after. We will definitely be back and recommend if you are in the area.

We love this place. We visited last summer and twice in the last week. Food is amazing, so yummy and looks great. Mark takes great pride in his work, even helping our daughter with a curry decision! Mel is so friendly and really helpful with accommodating the needs of our group. It felt like we were returning friends, not customers. Looking forwards to returning next year.

Knew this pub before current owners bought it and has truly been transformed. Fresh fish based menu with a wide variety of non fish and vegetarian options too. Had bowl of massive juicy mussels and a really flavourful fish curry. Staff very friendly, great atmosphere while still maintaining the country pub feel. Lots of well behaved dogs. (Recommend letting them know if you’re bringing a dog when booking as they put them in certain areas.) highly recommend!

First impressions count! Being fully booked on an out of season Thursday evening is usually a good sign. The service was swift - but not rushed, our waitress had good knowledge of the wines being offered and also let us know what the daily specials were. Our food order was taken promptly after our drinks arrived. After a short wait, our food arrived - all freshly prepared and cooked by the chef, a real credit to this establishment. You can always tell when someone takes pride in what they do and the food here was excellent! The dishes were clean, and the plating was obviously done with care, each meal looked well presented without looking pretentious. Desserts were just as good as our mains, all homemade, tasty and beautifully presented. Overall, an excellent experience. I will definitely be returning again.

Booked for an early Sunday lunch, we were made most welcome by the owners and all staff. The starters and Sunday roast were excellent, no space left for pudding! Extremely dod friendly and all staff knowledgeable, professional and polite. Reasonably priced, great value for money. Went to a supposedly superior restaurant the previous day twice as expensive and a quarter the Ploughs quality- can’t wait to return

We popped in tonight and were lucky to get a table. The service was wonderful- the staff were welcoming and friendly. Every course we had was well cooked, came out quickly, and was absolutely delicious. One of the best meals we've had in a while in a lovely setting. Dog friendly too which is a bonus! Would return without any hesitation. A little more expensive but well worth it and still excellent value for money- 2 of us had 3 courses and 2 drinks and it came in at around £95.

We were really pleased to return to The Plough Duloe and meet their new staff. We previously found the experience at the pub a bit hit-and-miss. But we found only positives as a result of the change of hands! From starters to drinks to mains, everything was fresh and brilliant quality - all served hot and neatly presented. We could rave about the food - but the real jewel of The Plough was the service - Melanie and her staff were attentive, friendly and a real credit to the establishment. Could not recommend it more - just a shame we are only in town for the week. When we visit next, we’ll be back for sure!
