Great atmosphere, staff welcoming and friendly

Excellent cream teas, delicious scones, rich in flavour. Jam was superb. Super friendly service, everything with a smile and very accommodating for our energetic spaniel.

Lovely olde worlde atmosphere. Run by a bunch of really friendly ladies selling good food at reason prices. 2 smoothies, pot of tea and an americano plus four generous slices of cake for £25. A neighbouring table seemed to be eating a high tea. It looked amazing! Suggest that might want to book in the summer months.

Exmoor Town, Country style tea room with pleasant garden. As a "visitor" I received an immediate
warm welcome and it is obviously very popular with the local people. (Note well).

With the demise of Mortimers in Dulverton (oh just so sad) we had to go here to try it out. Never been in as it was always crowded; today's visit was tacked onto the end of a mini-errands run (which also took in the excellent Seven Fables and Rothwell and Dunworth bookshops).
Coffee was good. I had the cafetiere version and it was wonderful. Tomato soup was good, and the salmon and cream cheese sandwich also went down well. The cakes looked really good, but time prevented sampling. Dog friendly, a bit squashed, but service kind. Not a buzzing atmosphere, but gentle and calm.

Such a lovely find. Passing through on a wet windy January day and came across lovely tea room. We had a lovely lunch there and were made to feel really welcome. We had our 19 month old toddler with us and we sat next to some toys and he was happy playing. They even got us a bowl for our son to enjoy some of our food. So accommodating and lovely food.
