Dined here for their fish gourmet evening. Everything about the whole experience was spot on. The service,the food, location, perfect!

Excellent service, friendly staff and a very nice, good value cream tea.
We have visited many times and it’s always a pleasure. Like most places on Exmoor, it has been in no way spoilt. So many areas of Britain that are touristy have become naff - but not here.
Long may that continue!

Visited Tarr steps and stopped at Tarr Farm Inn for lunch, Staff were friendly, welcoming and we were served quickly at the bar. Food was also served quickly despite being busy and was delicious.

Wonderful afternoon, we arrived to find there was Jazz on the Lawn featuring "The Mint Juleps", great musicians. A very enjoyable experience. Sunday roast was good too.

While visiting Tarr Steps, we stopped here for a drink before and after. Lovely pub and restaurant. Great outdoor garden area too. Didn't have the food, but looked and smelled great. Afternoon tea was lovely.

Great food and service. We arrived at 2.25pm on a Friday lunchtime, and they were only taking orders until 2.30, so just one to watch. Other than no call outs, fantastic old English pub, great for a spot of lunch and view from the garden to Tarr Steps!

We only stopped for food, so cannot comment on the hotel. Food was good, but the main reason for the five stars was the beautiful setting and the amazingly accommodating staff, who, despite being fully booked were able to squeeze us in last minute. They were very kind to us, curious about our hike and keen to provide information about the area to help us out.

Cosy hotel in a beautiful location. Food is delicious, and staff very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend. The pub is dog friendly and has baby changing facilities too.

Beautiful place. We walked up tired and wet in the evening and were made to feel right at home. Staff so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! Thank you!

As ever, very welcoming and helpful when we arrive with our horses. Particularly grateful for the picnic table and new tethering rails that have been provided in the paddock! My only plea is can the steak rolls be put back on the bar menu please 😊
