16 of us were in last night for our works Christmas meal. Cannot fault the food it was amazing and superb value for money. The festive burger was gorgeous!
The bar and waiting staff were great especially as they were rushed off their feet. Totally recommended. Thanks all!
Just been for a family meal, amazing value for money. Food was delicious, my steak was huge and cooked perfectly. We had my 20 month old toddler with us too who was well catered for and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed regarding children. The 2 staff on who have dealt with us at the bar have been amazing, can not fault the service here today. We've had a lovely time!
We went in for lunch today . 2out of the 4 of us were gluten free . Great meal and friendly efficient staff . Deffo be back . Thanks to all staff. X

Came here for lunch when we were in Dumfries for the day. The bar is well laid out with great seating, plenty of space, and great music playing. Dave the barman is awesome, super friendly and very helpful. Food order was delivered promptly, and was really good, I highly recommend the Katsu chicken burger. We visited several pubs during the day, this was definitely the best of them.
Drinks were delicious and the food was pretty good
Good food, but a bit on the costly side, welcomed (and enthused over) our dog, which was great, thank you.
The screens at the tables to watch the live football was a nice touch too.
Love this place. Come here regularly for the quiz and just in general. Quiz nights are really fun. Really friendly staff, good quality food, nice atmosphere, have a good array of drinks at reasonable prices and plenty of screens to watch live sport.
Love the upstairs renovation where there's pool and darts!
Only criticisms would be the food sometimes isn't out on time even during non-busy periods.
Overall though, highly recommend it.
We enjoy attending the weekly Wednesday night quiz - always packed, great fun and well put together (I'd recommend booking in advance as it is very popular). Been a few times for food and been really impressed with the portion sizes and taste. The staff are always helpful and friendly too. The new sports bar area upstairs is fantastic too with pool tables and darts.

Friendly service here and a good menu. Clean and Covid prepared. Plenty of tables and each table has a sign on it saying that it had been cleaned. Big TV's on the wall for sports. Food was good and it wasn't a long wait. Would have no issues going back.
Very inconvenient ordering only at the bar. The food is tasty, portions are large. Cocktails were not to my liking
This was such a friendly pub. They welcomed the dog too. The food was good, but some chilli sauce would have been nice. They couldn't have bent over backwards more to make us welcom.
The food in this place is just die for the staff are so polite and helpful and for they charge you get more than your money worth
