Excellent customer service in the mens department. Went in to buy a suit and had no idea what I wanted or where to start!
Ross immediately helped enthusiastically but in not in any way 'pushy' and gave me loads of options. After trying on a several items came away extremely happy with the whole outfit that fitted perfectly (Trousers needed altered in length, which was part of the service!)

Want to get the best quality service, household and clothing items in Dumfries, well look no further that Barbours this place is perfect to get what toy need from up and down Scotland and you can also visit there delightful cafe for Beakfast or lunch what a fantastic place to be there is also a large furniture store across the road that yoy mush check out, defiantly visit this place for the best items your looking for. 10/10 for customer service as well everyone is so friendly and very willing to help you out with what ever you need as well

The place to shop, big selection of clothes, shoes , makeup and everything that we need. Beautiful furniture shop and everything for the home. Don’t forget to call in the restaurant for a delicious meal or afternoon tea. Beats the other big stores . Friendly staff and always with a smile.

Went in to pay for a new suite. Assistant very helpful. Definitely a better class of furniture in this shop but it ain,t the cheapest.

Received a wonderful welcome and staff were quick to help. I was put at ease and nothing was too much trouble . Wasn’t pressurised to purchase but did get what I went in for and more . 1 item was unavailable but option was to buy and get posted which I did . I will return next month for more. This store is clean, welcoming and the staff wonderful. Thank you very much . These places are a treasure, don’t change …

Fantastic service, very pleasant staff in the 3 ladies departments that I visited. Very knowledgeable about materials and advice given on how to wash the garments.
I was fitted to the correct size and I requested another colour that was ordered with no fuss.
When trying on my purchased outfit the staff member suggested I try a different size along with the underwear which fitted better than what I was going to buy. I had a very enjoyable experience with great service, great team work that you don't get in any High Street shop. A very very happy customer 😃. Sorry I don't know the ladies names.

Great shop..Bought lamps furniture and a rug.All staff were friendly and helpful.Carpet department ,where I had to exchange first rug were so helpful and nothing too much bother.Great staff and Barbour's is a credit to Dumfries.

First time in this shop and was totally amazed at the range of furnishings on offer. Both salesmen we engaged with were excellent. Informative but not pushy. Ended up buying two sofas and will probably get carpets also. Excellent service.

We are lucky to have our very own department store in Dumfries. Stocks all the big brands- Emma Bridgewater, Rieker, Phase Eight etc which can be pricey, but they always have a great sale.
Restaurant has good selection of food and very reasonably priced too.
Friendly staff are always helpful.
