Really good! Way cheaper than any other takeouts in our area and decent portions that aren’t too massive nor too small

First visit while on weekend stay in area. Staff very helpful in describing the different dishes and helping us choose what we'd like. 2 adults having a starter and main plus an alcoholic drink came to less than £40 - however we found out that the restaurant was closing the next day but will run as a takeaway in a different area of the town (the lady we spoke to said it was only busy that night as regulars knew it was closing but generally outgoing costs were greater than income from customers so they had decided to close after 20+ years of business)

My wife and I came up from Liverpool on Wednesday, and called in to the Hong Kong star restaurant, amazing food and lovely staff, so good we called again tonight Friday 11/11/22, the lady owner was great , many thanks Tony+carol x

First time eating here, didn't book for 8 of us but staff were very accommodating and made a table up for us. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Will definitely eat here again

Visited because the original Chinese restaurant we were going to was closed. Their loss because the food at the Hong Kong star was excellent. I had barbecue spare ribs and my partner garlic Mushrooms. We then had crispy noodles with Satay sauce, I had Chicken, my partner had King Prawns. We both enjoyed our meals so much, that if we are ever in Dumfries again, we'll head there.
