Passing through on a south west tour And found this chippy lovely friendly staff and customers, I had Fish,chips and a big pot of the best curry sauce I have tasted, and the wife had Sausage dinner, it’s close enough to Dock park to go and eat them there and they were still piping hot as all cooked fresh 10/10

One of the best chip shops I have visited in a long time! There was a queue (understandable because the food was great! So the plan is clearly popular), but the staff handled it amazingly. One staff member came out front and took everyone's order then each order was dealt with on turn, swiftly and with a smile. All the staff were friendly and helpful and extremely polite, even apologising for the wait despite it being handled amazingly and I probably got m food faster than I have in some other places where there hasn't been a queue. The staff even involved the customers in some friendly banter and seemed to be very happy and enjoying their work which I always think speaks well of a place! The only downside is that it's too far away from home to be my local, however, next time I am in the area I will definitely return!

By far one, if not the best take away chippy in Dumfries.
Fabulous fish and chips, cooked to order, large portions, ( a wee bit too much for us older ones!). Staff are welcoming and friendly and very kind. Love it. Thank you George and Co.

Fish supper, sausage supper,curry sauce and a single smoked sausage was nearly £20 felt it was a bit pricey but the food was lovely.

Very helpful friendly owners. Large order no problem for them everything ready at the same time & well wrapped to keep it warm on our way back to accommodation. Excellent food. Can highly recommend

We're on holiday and we googled fish and chip shops and came across George's and read the reviews. We were not disappointed as they are the best fish and chips we've had for a long while. Good value for money , big portions and staff are very friendly also very helpful. Would highly recommend.
