Brasserie Ecosse

Fine dining. Modern concrete and steel dining room. Tasty, finely prepared food with great silver service. Modern but old fashioned. I liked it actually, it was busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere and food. Price as expected, really not too much given attention to detail. Recommended.

From the moment you enter this bright spacious restaurant and are greeted by polite friendly staff, you know you are in for a special night. The staff are knowledgeable and willing to answer any question about the menu, where ingredients come from, etc. The food is fresh, beautifully presented & very tasty. You just know the chef is professional in every aspect and rightly proud of the dishes served. If ever in Dundee again,we will be sure to visit.

What a fantastic dining experience! We visited here on a Saturday evening - the restaurant was busy but with ample space in between tables - a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere. The service was absolutely faultless - the serving staff knew the menu and their wines and made sure our glasses were never empty. The menu was really interesting and everything was cooked to perfection. The rump and shoulder of lamb was fantastic! We discovered this place quite by accident and were really glad we did - we’ll be visiting again next time we’re in Dundee!

We had an incredible experience at Brasserie Ecosse. We were worried as at 7pm on a Friday night we were the only group in the restaurant but it busied up.later. The food was absolutely incredible, served beautifully and 4 adults and 2 kids all happy. Fine dining in a lovely place. Helpful, friendly staff and sensational food.

This is a French restaurant. The environment is nice and social distancing is very important. It was served on a very large, Very French plate. The eggs are delicious, with white chocolate on the outside and mostly duck liver on the inside. It's not tired at all. I ate it all. The lamb is a classic Scottish flavour similar to what I eat in Fort William. The dessert was delicate and delicious. The service in the restaurant was very good and the waiters were very polite.

Visited with a friend as a treat. We had a voucher which gave us 50% off. There was a sign telling us as we entered the premises that we needed to wait to be seated. Staff member arrived wearing a mask and took us to our seats. We were given menus and information about specials along with info about what measures they have taken to ensure customers and staff are safe. The food was lovely, the staff were extra nice, the tables were spaced well apart. It is a little expensive especially the wine menu, but apart from that it was a really enjoyable experience.
