We booked through a voucher for one night plus breakfast. Room was really clean and nicely decorated slightly put off by the fact that the toilet was in the same room with only a partition wall which was open at the top, my partner wasn't too bothered but i was a bit uncomfortable! He thoroughly enjoyed being able to have a bath and watch TV though! The staff were friendly and very accommodating when we changed our breakfast time, the service was great. We really enjoyed a chilled out and quiet night in a comfy massive bed! Would return and would recommend 👌
Lovely country pub and was jam packed on a Monday night which was great to see. We had the burger and scampi and were served by a lovely (if ever so slightly flustered) member of staff. Food was tasty and the pub cozy too
My enchanting week at Kirkstyle Inn in Biggar, Scotland, was made even more special as it marked my first visit to this beautiful country. The inn's warm hospitality, picturesque surroundings, and delightful Scottish cuisine created a memorable experience that will forever be etched in my heart. The staff's kindness and attention to detail made this introduction to Scotland truly exceptional. I had a broken shoulder during this week and the staff was amazing with their care and accommodations for me. A perfect haven for both seasoned travelers and those, like myself, exploring the wonders of Scotland for the first time. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed a lovely meal here this afternoon. Excellent service from the young staff in a lovely dining area. Kirkstyle pie and mash was so good (photo probably doesn't do it justice!). I also managed to steal a few triple cooked fat chips (with rosemary, truffle oil, sea salt and parmesan), which were probably amongst the best chips I have ever had! Lovely sticky date and toffee pudding and coffee followed. We shall definitely return. Highly recommended for a good pub meal. Dog friendly too.
Had a couple of lovely dinners here, food is modern pub grub and the woodfired pizzas are amazing. Beautiful setting in the lovely village, nice sized beer garden and quirky traditional decor inside. Recommend highly!
Made a last-minute booking on Friday for an overnight Sat/Sun. What a great find! Arrived and was warmly welcomed by Chelsea, who I'd made the reservation with. Rooms are just across from pub in seperate building. Lovely big room and a super comfy bed.
Pub is cosy and welcoming with eclectic decor, real fires, armchairs and friendly staff. Had dinner in the pub restaurant. Food was delicious. Service was great from a team of young staff. Sat by the fire, watching the rugby and enjoying a whisky. Breakfast next morning over in the pub, food delicious again. Continental is included in room price, but full cooked can be pre-ordered for an extra charge.
Overall a great wee stay!
We stopped in for lunch, a plus for us is that they accept dogs this is our second visit. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and one waitress had a wee dog biscuit in her pocket. The food was excellent in fact one of the best prawn salad I've had for a long time. Would recomnend the Kirkside in Dunning to anyone.
It’s a nice old pub with traditional rustic food. There was live music in the covered beer garden on the Sunday afternoon when we went.
Cute village too, parking limited but you can easily park within 100m on the surrounding streets.
A great place to pop in for a drink or a meal, where the food is superb. Some of the outside seating area is under cover, so no worries when it's raining. Very dog friendly too. Our only grumble is that its location has no dedicated parking, and you have to take your chances trying to find a parking space on the main road along with people stopping for the NESA shop next door and residents who live there.
Very nice pub - great value for money and tasty grub - would recommend the pork belly, onion rings, pork pie, fish and chips and soft shell crab burger. Friendly stuff and nice outdoor area if it’s sunny enough to sit outside.
