Mike's Fish And Chips

Most consistent fish and chips shop in Dunstable. Always being greeted and acknowledged when walking in by the young woman. Everything is cooked to order so it worth the wait! None of that soggy batter or mushy chips. Every bite and chip is nice and crisp. The best thing, my god she knows how to salt and vinegar a portion perfectly.

Fantastic food, great price and fast service. Food was fresh cooked as i waited. had takeaway and the food was wrapped up very nicely. The service was amazing, the lady there even went to the trouble of bringing the food around to me instead of passing it over the counter. Food tasted delicious and portions were wonderful. Highly recommend this place .

What happened ?? Mikes Fish & Chips were good. Not today ! The Fish was not crispy and the batter to thick and soggy on the inside. The chips were half the portion I usually get and not crisp either and pretty much all squashed. Service was friendly but omg was staff slow, I ordered and one girl was just standing 'round and literally 4 min after my order went in she decided to batter the fish and started cooking it. Until now I would have recommended Mikes Fish and Chips without reservation.... until now. Might have to look elsewhere .... You have to do better!!!
