Went today for mothers day Sunday dinner can't fault the dinner one bit, pork was tender loins cooked perfectly, crackling spot on, roasties were lovely n fluffy, veg was cooked perfectly, puddings were cooked perfect gravy was delish and there was plenty of veg, mash carrots, parsnips, broccoli, cabbage, turnip. Really enjoyed it.
My only gripe was the apple crumble, and this is a personal preference not a fault. Apples were to tart for me. That's it, apart from that it was perfecto taking my husband one Sunday to prove how nice it was.

Had a fantastic 3 course Sunday meal absolutely perfect all choices that 4 of us had well done to sara who has filled in for chef since June you are doing a great job And thanks to staff and regulars for spoiling our dog well done all and thank you all for great hospitality

Just had a date night with the wife couldn't of asked for anything better from going in to coming out absolutely beautiful and right on our doorstep I can't rate it high enough fantastic service cracking pint and Shaun and Bev are perfect hosts get yourselves down for a fantastic meal at reasonable prices we will definitely be back thank you blacksmiths 5 stars from us 😀

If you're enjoying some of the lovely walks around here this place is certainly worth calling in on! 1st time I've been & it's now on my favourites list. Very rarely is it possible to find a place that's welcoming, not expensive & serves gorgeous home cooked food. The homemade chips are unreal & hot beef sarnie was delicious. All of us were impressed with what we ordered. 100% recommended 👌
