We have been trying to use our wedding gift voucher for ages. We discovered the Durham location while staying local. Spoke to the lady on the phone who was working the afternoon shift today. She was amazingly helpful around our enquiry about picking the afternoon tea up as a takeaway. We arrived 30 mins before closing but this same lady was fantastic. Her Customer Service delivery is a credit to your Organisation. Please pass on our thanks to your employee. We unfortunately didn't get her name. A very welcomed Afternoon Tea awaits us in our Caravan tonight. Just had a peak at the products. They look amazing in the selection. Thanks again.

Had a wonderful experience. I was served by a lovely man who was enigmatic in his appearance and gesture. There was a sense of mystery and foreboding. Service aside, the cakes were also wonderful. Well worth a visit

My mum had an afternoon tea to celebrate my grandma moving house. I was a bit worried as we've done this before and it wasn't amazing but this time it was! The staff were genuinely phenomenal, really patient and helpful as we had an extra person and had to rearrange tables. The afternoon tea itself was lovely, my mum had an extra tea at no extra charge. I was stuffed but the big cakes also look beautiful, so will be coming back

Came here for high tea. We had a groupon coupon for two. The pastries, scones and sandwiches were good and as per expectations. We had unlimited hot beverage included in the coupon which was amazing . We had to wait for a very long time to get the food which was a downside. The overall experience was good and value for money.

Called in as we were passing about 30 minutes before they were shutting. Coffee and Tea were excellent and the lemon and blueberry cake was delicious too. Staff were very friendly and helpful despite being busy.

I visited this shop to use a Groupon code for cream tea for two. We were greeted as soon as we entered, my voucher was accepted with no issues and we were asked which drinks we’d like and if we’d like plain or fruit scone. I was intrigued by their raspberry & coconut latte and wasn’t disappointed, absolutely delicious! We waited a little while for our scones but they were being prepared & warmed up upstairs and were so yummy when we got them. Lovely place, friendly staff and gorgeous refreshments :)

We went to Patisserie Valerie today as we had a voucher for afternoon tea for two. Despite being busy, that staff were very friendly and welcoming and we were seated quickly. The afternoon tea was delicious, we weren’t particularly keen on the finger sandwiches, but everything else was lovely. The scones in particular were especially delicious, tasted wonderfully fresh and were still warm when we cut them open, and slathered with jam and clotted cream, they went down a treat. Staff were very friendly and attentive, making sure we were happy with everything, or if we needed more drinks. Wonderful cafe, great service, definitely somewhere we’ll be going back to next time we visit Durham.

Lovely place and I've had the best flat white in all the place I've been. Smooth and not too coarse. The breakfast was really good. Reasonable menu and price. The only thing, the waiter forgot the glass of water for my daughter. Overall I would stop there for my caffeine fix.
